It's a real bummer to hear of Marty Balin's passing at 76 years old..........The Jefferson Airplane, Marty and the S.F. music scene were very influential on my early musical development. I still listen to Surrealistic Pillow to this day. I saw them in concert at The Fillmore West in the 70's. Marty and the band definitely lived by the rock mantra of "Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n Roll". RIP in the great psychedelic sky Marty..........
The memory of Jefferson Airplane in concert was the catalyst for my song San Francisco Daze. Here's one for you...RIP Marty.

I have uploaded a remix of my song "Trip For Biscuits". I redid the vocals after some folks suggested they weren't up enough in the mix. I also tweaked a few other things and generally cleaned it up, and added about 30 seconds to the end (just because I like the groove, heh).
In any event, I hope you enjoy it and thanks to everyone who has listened and commented!
I love everything to do with Music.
I love to listen, play, create and dance to music. – Music makes me feel happy, sad, passionate, angry and strong. It will take me back through my past to people I have loved or places I have been. It will connect me to people from all around the world. To friends as well as the icons of music.
Why is it so powerful, and where does this all come from?
So I was thinking....about the very first music we all hear. As we lie in our Mother’s womb, we hear her heartbeat and we are gently rocked to her music - the rhythm of her life………………………Yes we hear music before we are even born.
Maybe, just maybe, music is that connection with the very miracle of life itself. https://youtu.be/KDyKjBXg3nM

Greetings all, Michael from Winter's Resurrection here...
We apologize for the silence, but, sometimes life doesn't go the way we want it to go. My beautiful, kind, loving wife Rina, whom I had 12 beautiful years of marriage with, fell ill in November last year with HLH and she lost her battle on December 29, 2017 despite things actually looking better at one point. She fought hard and was an inspiration to everyone with her kindness to every single person that came in the room but, unfortunately, her poor little body couldn't take any more and septic shock finally took her.
My 11 year old son and I are getting by, through the grace of our Lord, but it has been a time in our lives that I wouldn't wish upon ANY person.
Keep my little buddy and I in your prayers. He is bouncing back and has that love of life in his eyes again... Me... the past month or so has been horrible, to be honest. Some days are better than others but there have been a lot of bad days and the ONLY way I have been able to make it this far has been because God has picked me up and carried me.
I have posted a new demo up titled "#2". It has been in the works for a while but when Rina took ill, I lost the zest of music for quite some time. It is beginning to stir in me again and I finished up a few ideas for the main solo. Let us know what you think...
I'm here because I don't want to leave this world without feeling I've made a mark somewhere. Yeah, it's ego, but it's more than that, actually...
I stopped writing/recording in the early 1990's when life threw me a curve ball and I needed to seriously regroup in order to survive. The music you hear on my page was written and/or recorded from as far back as 1973. I wanted to put my music somewhere to archive it, for whomever found it interesting or worth anything at all. I was hoping one day to return to music, but nothing has come up as of late. Still dealing with life & survival. If nothing else, the words I write in this blog will become a part of my memorial. No I don't wish to be macabre, but my music will be the only tombstone I will have.
Thank you for reading, and for listening, and perhaps liking.
