Greetings from Denver!

Just wanted to update everyone about our move. For those of you who have moved before, you know it is never any fun and very stressful. It will also always cost you more money then you ever anticipated. This move was no different.

We rented a house online and had some relatives check it out. The goal was to be in it for 3 months until our house sold and then we would buy a new one. They checked the house out and figured it was good enough for 3 months. When we got there, we had a different opinion. It was not ready and I am not sure if it would ever be ready. So we passed on that house. The problem is that this left us with no house, 2 dogs and a cat. So off to a hotel we go and off to a kennel went the dogs.

We pick up the keys for the new house tomorrow and get our furniture back tomorrow as well. Woohoo. The bad news is that we do not get internet service until next week. I am hoping we can leach off an open network. If not, it will be strictly iphone so we will not be around for a little bit.

Thanks again for supporting Mixposure everyone!

Dazed

mixing

Hi everybody .......i read this article on mixing by some guy who has engineered for profesional bands

i liked his aproach....he said mix like people who are already accepted (the pros)

some of the points he taught were.....pan the electric guitar all the way to the left, add a little reverb......then copy it and pan it all the way to the right with a little delay and ata a lower volume......i used this effect on my new song thirsty check it out...

you want your bass guitar and kick drum the same volume panned in the middle.......vocals in the middle turned up just til it's loud.....you know what's loudest........any more volume would make it softer because of the trebles....the magnitude of loudness is a good way to look at it.....magnitude is "greatness in relation to" something at a higher volume wouldn't have the punch that a lower volume might have....when it's loudest it's loud

let me make an add now........i used these thinks on an older song Unloved and posted the remix also....check it out.....have a good day........joel

One more thought......he said you want your bass tones panned to the left
