A multi-faceted performer, who writes, arranges and produces, from life experiences. Those difficult beginnings in life, are in part, the experiences that have made Kin-Folk, into a musical and lyrical force to be recognized.

He started writing poetry in 8th grade, as a form of therapy for the troubled and abusive childhood he had to endure. Kin-Folk started freestyling a bit by his 10th grade school year, which eventually led to his life ambition- writing, composing and producing rap music.

The songs speak volumes about life, hard times, love and hate, that leave you feeling, there is no doubt, Kin-Folk is a creative and magnetic composer, in touch with lifes hard roads. Our latest favorite at The Cryb, is titled, How You Do It-featuring Kim Dash. More of Kin-Folks tracks can be sampled at Kin-Folks My Space Profile Here: Kin-Folk and Big Hungry Ent.

Kin-Folks career spans a wide spectrum of accomplishments, which include, spots on Underground Radio in Texas and Hype Talk Radio in New York, with mulitple spins during 2007. OK, here we go

By SG, 2009-08-30

Probably my last release for this year is Inter Alia, probably because it will take me from now until Christmas to upload the whole thing. Weighing in at 39 tracks and over 3 and a half hours of playing time, Inter Alia probably counts as a double album by anybodys reckoning. All the tracks are brand new, not a remix or remaster among them. I'll be uploading the tracks in no particular order and - as I say - slowly upload the whole thing over the coming months. Hope you enjoy...

First 2 tracks are up now and EXCLUSIVE to Mixposure for now...

About 'Tally (Intro) A New project

Well, I am astounded by your words my friends. I thought it may get something but not quite this !! Thanks so much for your comments...and nice to here from you all! Tomorrow I intend to add the lyrice myself just to give it a little more substance but ti would really need a female voice to bring it to life. I hope the lady herself will accept my request o add her own voice...it would carry so much more of her personality I feel...but if not, I shall be seeking a sweet and sultry voice form the Mix ---> (Are you there Gina hahahah) Once again thanks for the comments ... they truly mean such a lot to me. - Gordon

And just a thought .... :)

And just a thought .... :)

Whilst I am not complaining, because it is nice to notice that there are people who appreciate my musical enrgies enough to download them, don't you think it strange, that during the first year when I had most at a price of between $0.50 and $1.00 nobody bothered ... only one (Thanks a lot Rob !) ... and during that time I had a total of around 67 or 69 downloads .. .

Since I returned to here and made everything free to downlaod ...wow ... almost 700 in about a month!! Pity I didn't get 50 cents a go fr those !! hahah

I dunno if it's the state of the woprld economy which causes this phenomena , or just human natuyre...but I have to admit I'd rather have it free than have to pay for it !! :))))

Just one thing...I WILL be putting 'Sleeping Dragons' back up at ONE DOLLAR so PLEASE download it for that paltry sum...or I SHALL AWAKEN THE DRAGONS!! ;) the proceeds got to an Animal Charity

Thanks for your support...free or otherwise the downloads give me encouragement to do more work and try to improve on the older ones.

Gordon

I'm Alright

By Rob Grant, 2009-08-29
I'm Alright

This song was written for the Mixposure song genre category: Songs For Rob.

Rob Grant - inspiration and bass. Gary Carciello - rhythm and lead guitars. Doctor C - keyboards and drums. Farrell Jackson - all vocals and outro harmonica.

For those of you that have been members at Mixposure for a while will remember how the Songs For Rob category came about and for those that are new....well it's an amazing story of strong will, faith, and prayers from around the world. Here's a condensed version of the story.

Rob was and still is a very prolific songwriter/musician and heavily involved at Mixposure. His enthusiasm is infectious and he's pulled together some excellent collaborations of musicians here at the Mix. His enthusiasm was the thing that drew me, and others I'm sure, into the collab fold of CGDC & Friends.

The collaboration groups were going strong and the new CGDC&F had maybe 4 or 5 songs under our belt, when disaster struck. Rob had an aneurism in his brain and was hospitilized in critical condition. He went through a successful operation and many weeks of rehabilitation. All the while the Mixposure community was kept abreast of his progress through communications with key folks at Mix (Dazed, RWK, Gina, DrC, and Nigel to name a few) and Rob's daughter.

I'm not sure who fronted the idea of having folks write Songs For Rob but it was a great one! It gave the rest of us that felt helpless, something extra to do in order to help Rob recover. These songs coupled with Rob's strong will, the universal prayers, get well thoughts, and the healing vibes sent from around the world, I believe, played a big part in Rob's extraodinary full recovery. We thank you all!

I'm Alright was DrC's, Gary's, and Farrell's contribution to Songs For Rob. It was originally done without Rob due to the circumstances but this new version has Rob playing some of the finest bass runs I've heard from him, some re-done tracks, and a new arrangement.

This is one of the songs that will go on the almost completed Rayon Vert CD.

Well that was a long blog but I felt it necessaryto tell the story.

We hope you like this song as much as we do. It's special to Rayon Vert ( Rob, DrC, Gary, and Farrell)

Enjoy!

Farrell for Rayon Vert.

it's a new day

By jvtuttle, 2009-08-28
it's a new day

and so are my talents....never fear guys the word talent comes from Latin for "Patients" so every day you come up with something new................................see you, think you play the same thing over and over but things that you do will effect your mood, your patients. You play your Mood we can say.

Ive been in a good mood so you'll notice it in my song. If your in a bad mood your songs will be bad if your in a good mood that mood will come across and you'll have a good song.

one more thing "how to make a hit"? Well it's how you hit ! the notes , how you accent, punctuate, emphasize. learn to play the "hit".

swissle saussle

David Pendragon

By Admin, 2009-08-27

I need to apologize to David for my late posting on this. I was so occupied with some of the personal things going on in my life I completely forgot to get this posted.

Aug 9th

OK, The time may have come for Kiaren's transplant.....We just received a call from the transplant team to get him to the hospital in Melbourne ASAP. The situation is that there is an organ and they have to make a decision on one of two options. The first is that the liver is of a size that can be transplanted into Kiaren successfully. In that scenario he will be transplanted. If it is determined that the organ is too big......it will go to the other recipient. We will know the answer at about 8 am Aussie time Monday morning. If the transplant is a go, Nancy and I will be travelling to Melbourne by car immediately.. If the situation is not a go ahead, then we wait until another organ becomes available.

We are of course praying that this organ is the one for our precious young man, but whatever happens we want to raise a prayer or thoughts of good will for the person who died and gave permission for their organs to be used. Our thoughts go out to the family who have lost a loved one. We thank you with all our hearts for this gift.
Those of you that follow a path of prayer we ask for your prayers. Any goodwill and positive healing thought for Kiaren and support for Nikki his mother will help.
Thank you in advance....this could be a crazy couple of months ahead.

For those that I am engaged on projects with, I will let you know as soon as I can what the situation is.
Brave Empire, as discussed I will continue to be active where ever I can by Internet and phone. I will need some help from the team though.

Let us see what the morning brings.........

David Pendragon

Aug 13
Hi, if possible could you put an update on Mixposure to let all the friends I have know that things are going well with Kiaren and his transplant. Good thoughts and prayers around the world are working miricles with his care. Anyone who wishes to help with small donations towards his mothers accomadation can reach me at this address. david.pendragon@yahoo.com.au or through the donations button at: http://www2.mixposure.com/Mondays_Not_Home/store.php Things are very good medically but very very challenging at a finance level and the suggestion that we ask for help has been hard to do for me. If its not something the site can do....thank you anyway for the support and thoughts already given. We are going to be here at the hospital for at least another 4 weeks.

"I will meet you in the Music."
David Pendragon

Wow great timing! David just sent this update 2 minutes ago!

Aug 27th

Hello everyone.

It is with great relief that I can write this email to say that Kiaren is doing very very well and is in fact out of the Children's Hospital and staying at the Liver transplant unit which is a Ronald McDonald [thank you!] facility for families of transplant patients. He will be there for at least one more week and then back to his home in Albury. Ongoing care will involve weekly trips to Melbourne for several months.
His doctor, the fantastic Dr. George Alex is very happy with Kiarens fast recovery and the medications appear to be doing the job they are meant to at this critical stage.
In himself K seems well and very thankful that the larger part of his need for a new life has been achieved. He knows that his life ahead will still contain huge challenges and a rigidly focused lifetime regimen with medication every day for the rest of his life that cannot be forgotten.
He has so much catching up to do with his education and that for a very intelligent 14 year old seems a daunting task. He is showing great commitment and desire however to reach his personal goals. Just the fact that he HAS personal goals, in itself is staggering to my mind!
Some time ago he decided that graphic design and computer games design were areas of his greatest interest, also just recently he has been trying his hand at Metal vocals........ He is however going to have to put in a great deal of energy to catch up academically. He will still have a great deal of missed school time ahead.

The thing that amazes me so very much is his attitude. Certainly there are times when it is all simply too much. Very quickly though he seems able to 're-frame' his thoughts and shrug off the negitive and look for an answer. I pray that he continues to have the stregnth and also the help needed to continue to do this throughout the difficult years of a teenager.

Our thoughts go out to the family of the wonderful person who gave Kiaren the gift of a new life. We do not know them and they do not know us, however there is a deeply mixed feeling of concern and gratitude for whoever they are. The person that signed the organ donar card and donated their organs will be remembered forever by our family and by Kiaren himself. As is my practice I am lighting a candle to the memory of the donor each night and will continue to do so.

Finaly for now, to all the fantastic healing energy generated by so many of you by prayer circles, sweat lodges, Reiki teams and simple good thoughts and well wishes we can never thank you enough. All I can say is this, the surgeon, the nurses, the doctors have ALL stated several times that Kiaren is very well ahead of the 'expected' schedules for recovery. From one doctor I heard the words " It's rather amaziing how well he has gone ".

This entire period of my life has brought me to a place of wonder. I am filming and writing words and song, hoping to in some tiny way express what is felt deep within. It all revolves around two words, 'Thank You'

"I will meet you in the Music."
David Pendragon
