As it's March ( tho I intended to post this on Monday..duh) I thought I'd point folks to my two Celtic tunes.
Whether your tastes run to Jameson or Old Bushmiill's , Pop over to my songs/audio and check out "Winter Spring" and "Green + Gold " for my attempts at Celtic balads.
PIcture shamlessly stolen from a web site somewhere...but I'll delete it before his lawyer calls...
Last week my brother took a walk along the shoreline of where he lives in Kent, England. he walks there most days with his camera..He was amazed and devestated to be met by this sight. It streatched for 5 miles I believe and there were thousands upon thousands of them..This is his pic, and was used in one of the national papers. This is an extract from the paper..
"Environment Agency officials are investigating what could have killed the starfish, which had been feeding on mussel beds.
They do not believe the deaths were linked to the recent storms because they were first reported to them last week.
They have also ruled out pollution or anything to do with climate change as the cause.
The agency said officials would investigate if the starfish were discarded by fishermen after the mussel beds were dredged.
A spokesman said: "Starfish congregate in vast numbers in some areas and feed on shellfish, so if the seabed was dredged then the starfish would inevitably have been caught in huge numbers."
Another theory is that the starfish had run out of mussels to eat and had moved into shallow water in the search for food.
The starfish bodies are not harmful and will probably be eaten by seagulls, the agency said. "
I think it`s heartbreaking....I would never have thought that so many little creatures could all die at the same time without being poisoned somehow..
Peace n Love Mags xx
well... today we have decided to put another mix of crazy bones up... as the previous one is nothing but bass...all the voices of the track just seemed to be competing for the same space and it sounded like it was being played through a blanket... and this didn't get us anywhere near the desired crispy and annoying 'low-fi' sound we wanted for it.
this one is cutting... granted... not to everyone's taste... but it would be good if we got some feedback on it..?
ps... be kind... this is the song i deleted all the tracks for... all i have are the original audio files.. so we are extremely limited as to 'fixes' at this stage.
but hey... three blogs now eh... this is going some for me... ha ha..

Its amazing what music can do to others and to ourselves. Due to the health of our fellow musician Rob Grant, we are united in a cause to see and hear our fellow musicians dedication and compassion not only for our friend to recover but for the music that keep us together. You know, it does'nt matter what your skin color, country you're in or what you believe in. Music can make us one. Everytime you see the news, you will ask your self what is happening in this world. For all the musicians out there, make your music a universal language and for Rob, get well soon. God bless you all!

The consistent thing about Rob, that always comes through to me is what a really good guy he is. I'm not surprised to see he has so many friends and I am really glad to be one of them.

Press Release
Port Mahadia; A New Flavor of Progressive Rock
Giordano Entertainment is proud to announce the 2007 release of Echoes in Time from the band Port Mahadia. This album not only features some of the best musicians in the world of progressive rock but also marks a new step forward for some American musicians who have finally received the opportunity to explore their love of the progressive genre.
Echoes In Time was written by guitar virtuoso Cameron Castle alongside bassist and lyricist Erinn Waggoner. This first collaboration of the two resulted in an album with dramatic musical shifts from the sublime and upbeat song, "Distant Shores," to the dramatic and heavy sound of the track, "Requiem of the Mind". Lyrically the interwoven story tells an exciting tale while leaving room for the listener's mind to discover their own meaning at the conclusion of the album. Waggoner states, "I have never done anything more complicated than this, writing an album that leads the listener and yet forces them to resolve the story in their own mind."
There are some true musical heavyweights that appear on this album which is sure to tweak the curiosity of even the casual progressive rock listeners. Rusty Clutts joins Waggoner in the rhythm section and provides a wonderful mix of technical drumming as well as tasteful dynamics. Chicago keyboard wizard, William O'Connell, performs throughout the works providing interesting lead, backing and accent pieces. The bulk of the albums vocals are provided by Damian Wilson (Threshold, Headspace, Aryeon) who's strong and clear voice tells the story wonderfully. Making guest appearances on various tracks throughout are David Ragsdale of the band Kansas on violin (David has also appeared on albums with Smashing Pumpkins, Quensryche and Motherland) and Hugh McDowell of Electric Light Orchestra fame on cello.
Echoe's In Time features radio friendly tracks as well as tradition elongated progressive centerpieces that are sure to please diehard fans. Look for Port Mahadia's, Echoes In Time to be a must have for any lover of progressive rock.
