Die wohnung roch nach altem fett die kleidung trug er nicht adrett der erste eindruck schien verpatzt sie war ganz fuerchterlich vergnatzt sie haett sichs anders vorgestellt das mannsstueck ihrer zukunftswelt Sie suchte nur den grund zu gehn er schien so hilflos rumzustehn komm mit ins gruene rutschts ihr aus nimm meine hand du dummer Klaus das war nicht was sie sagen wollte weshalb sie mit sich selber grollte doch nur ein kleines wegesstueck dann blieb der alltagsfrust zurueck wer weiss warum sie sich besonnen lang lag zurueck die zeit der wonnen  Die liebe hat sie spaet erfahren im rest von ihren lebensjahren als sie von schritt zu schritt erweckt was er zuvor voll angst versteckt

1.....4-5 Jam in G

A year or so ago, I had the pleasure of recording some 'things' with a young,home town guitar player named 'Adam Boomer' . I had a drum track we starting jammin' too..... not to refined just jammin' . I later went back and added the bass and horn tracks,(Roland Fantom X keyboard) hoping to keep the jam vibe. I think it has a jazzy-funk, with a bit of big band vibe to it. I hope you enjoy.........:-) cheers, Larry T

New Collab with KED - Lookin' At Ya

KED and I have been threatening to do a collab together for some time now. I had started working on an instrumental track called "Lookin' At Ya" in about 2006 and had recorded the drums, bass, pianos and organ tracks, trying to come up with a lead guitar that I was happy with. It had been consigned to the "to do sometime later" list, but then I decided to take KED up on his kind offer to collab with me. Here's the finished result. KED has done a great job on guitar on this and I'm really happy with the result. Lead Guitar:  KED Synth, organ, elec piano: Self Tort Drums, bass programming: Self Tort and Stewart Havill

Hardware collection or software compilation-Music in the household

In my more than restless sleep last night my mind wandered to the construction of my first album; covers, CD labels, track orders, promotion, all the daily household chores of getting music in a single package for people to keep. Is it worth it? Of course it's worth making an album or two, but is it worth all the aggravation of having CD's printed/ burned when most your album, if not all of it will end up being converted into MP3 and jammed into a mini player in someone's pocket? Take an examination of the practical and non practical aspects of albums these days and I think we will find the answers. So here we have a CD collection. Let's say there are 500 CD's all catalogued and neatly arranged within a cabinet for easy locating. Now, while it looks impressive, and while it's a lovely focal point and great conversation starter: "Jeez, you got one hell of a collection!" I have a question: When it comes time for you to move.......... You got a mini van for most of your stuff and a semi for the CD's. They're heavy, bulky in boxes and a damn nuisance to shift. Shoulda got yourself an MP3 player dude, cause the other side of the coin is a whole lot rosier. Same scenario, but you're showing a friend your collection on your PC. Album art decorates the folders and you have 30GB of pure beauty at your fingertips. Easy to carry around once in an MP3 player/iPOD and you don't have to wait to get home to listen to your favorite album. Then of course it comes time to move and really, there's nothing being transported that you didn't already have. Music files don't make your PC heavier. So as an artist and musician, what would you aim for? The practical side of album creation where the files could be stored easier without taking up any physical room in the apartment/house, or the eye candy album; a physical reach out and touch object that you have to find a place for inbetween your partners favorite trophy or figurine? I know which one I'd rather shoot for.

MIXING BALLADS..

well my new love song YOU AND ME.. just got a remix.. i have a cold so my ears missed some hot spots in the first mix.. you know what? anybody else feel this? ballads with a lot of tracks are the hardest to mix it seems.. they move slow and all those tracks are tricky to adjust perfectly.. so easy for one word or note to be too loud.. so much space.. everything stands out.. gotta up this.. lower that.. ad naseum.. etc.. lol.. wonder what you all think of it?

Below A Stranger Sky

Well I'm getting close to filling up my page lol. My new track is up, edited, re-edited, bashed against a wall and swore at until it gave in and submitted. Below A Stranger Sky is based on one night I sat on a porch seat and watched stars that I never saw back home. The moon had a different sheen away from the smog infested skies I had left behind. It was a beautiful moment, the air was crisp that late September evening and I can still taste the night air. Better stop there, starting to get all choked up lol. Anyway hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy the memories. IDIOM

I think it is always going to be a piece of music that should stay as it,  as it will never need lyrics, but I thought I would share the words that came to me almost instantly. Without Music, Life's Nothing!

I've been playin' Guitar since 1986 and I play mostly Heavy Metal. I write alot of lyrics, some guitar parts and have someone else help to put it all together, That way I still write songs but I also get influences from others so I don't wind up having all of my songs sound the same [How boring is that?] Currently I can't play much because as I grew up playing, I was never taught how to correctly hold a guitar while I'm playing, so it eventually took a toll on my wrists.. I still play and write, but now I'm having to convert my writing into clips/riffs. I'm starting to incorporate alot of MIDI even though I can't create as much passion, but, you never know, I might wind up creating a new style of Metal????? I mainly play a Peavy Mystic (circa 1980's) and a 4-space Rack Mount Pro-1000 Tube Randall Head with a Randall 4X12 cab. I can get it to make alot of noise, but I like the power it's got more than the tone, so I added a Digitech ValveFX and a BBE Sonic Maximizer...... WOW, killer sound, 80's tone mixed with 90's Bass tones. It's something else. but, guess you'd have to like that kind of music to appreciate it.<img src="images/smilies/face-devil-grin.png" border="0" alt="devil" title="devil" />
