Comments on the track Rob Grant Is Back!!!
I’d like to thank everybody who reviewed “Rob Grant Is Back!!!” I appreciate your kind words, gentlemen. However, I would also like to clear any possible misconceptions and publicly admit that I can’t play with that speed and superhuman precision. It’s all modern technology pros and cons of which we discussed recently. Even though I didn’t use any samples and played the Czardas myself, I can’t in good faith accept the praise for my musicianship because the track was heavily edited. I can, however, accept the praise of my editing skills. LOL! So there it is – I’m a cheater. But I’m not that bad and I still love making music! LOL. I hope you guys won’t lose respect for my modest musical ventures after this confession.

I'm in 100% agreement with Joe here Doc. You are a true pro my friend !!!
Doc you have done a brave thing here.. what integrity and self-confidence it takes to say you edited heavily and can't claim credit for the whole thing.. I'm sure we all edit.. sometimes heavily.. sometimes with luck, only a bit.. we'd be crazy not to.. in the old days we had to do another take and that costs money but we were still trying to make our stuff sound as perfect as possible.. now we can edit everything we record and that is the way to go.. you saying you can't play with that speed and precision makes me believe you can Doc.. that you have the necessary qualities so the speak.. you just wanted to get your tune to us without
having to do retake after retake to get it right as is the case with most
difficult passages for most players.. we have to practice.. something we are increasingly unwilling to do.. fair enough.. that's the music world we live in.. but for you to be up front with us is awesome and my respect for you is enhanced.. that's not to say in MHO that everyone MUST do this everytime.. but i think you've shown here that it doesn't matter really.. no one will think less of us and we will think more of ourselves.. nothing to hide.. it still takes a fine musician to put it all together in a musically satisfying way as you have done with "rob grant is back"..
I've applauded your piece Doc and now i applaud your integrity.. and it doesn't change the way i hear your music one bit.. it still sounds awesome and i still think it's your music.. you didn't claim credit for someones elses pre-recorded phrases.. cheers my friend..
