Intro

I walk alone into the unknown

I walk with my thoughts, alone

I walk with a history of burdens

I walk today to lift this weight

Verse 1

I stand on the precipice

of the land In the place

he made his final stand

I hear the echo's within my mind

I feel lost souls all around

I think back to the days lost

I think back to the love we shared

My body shivers with despair

as you are no longer there

Chorus 1

I walk the empty path alone

This was once the place i called home

I walk the empty path alone

but now it feels like the unknown

Verse 2

I never saw what you did

it changed you on that day

you stared right through me

you turned me away

i felt your emotion change

i felt you love disappear

You no longer wanted

me never wanted me near

Chorus 2

I walk the empty path alone

This was once the place i called home

I walk the empty path alone

but now it feels like the unknown

You took away all i had

hoping i would never return

but today braved the path alone

but this is not the place i called home

Bridge

{oooohhhhhhhhhh

aaaaaahhhhhhhhh

oooooooooooooo

Final chorus

I walk the empty path alone

This was once the place i called home

I walk the empty path alone

but now it feels like the unknown

You took away all i had

hoping i would never return

but today braved the path alone

but this is not the place i called home

Outro

Looking out into view

i see the shadow of you

still there trapped in a dream

thinking maybe of what could have been

 Lyrics (c) Dave Meredith 2015-2026

I walk alone is an electronic track with soundtrack qualities. A down tempo song with bags of emotion. I wrote the lyrics and recorded and structured the music and i used a virtual session vocalist to give me the right kind of vocals for my music with a view to replace her if i can find a suitable vocalist in the future...
