That's a really nice tune, reminding me of the good old Classic Rock tunes we once had. This recording, however, could be beefed up a little. Just the overall mix seems a bit low to me. HOWEVER, I love the tune!!! Remix this one and I'll play it on my one of my shows for sure!
Cheers,
Mike

Liked this one, distinctive riff and an unusual style of vocal delivery. The quiet vocal sequences are clean and very sweet, however the guitar seems to me to be a bit high in the mix. Your vocals and the backing get a little lost. That aside a good number

This is a decent rock song and the vocals are good and unique. Suggest to bring up the treble of the vocal a bit so as to stand out even better. Cheers / Mike

Nice chorus...solid song. I'd agree that the guitar is a little too up front in mix. The vocals are nice and unique, but buried when the R guitar plays with them. Also, I wonder if the intro is a little too long...or maybe add a lead line over it....
Like the melody of the chorus very much...nice job.

Derek Franks is currently a solo artist based in Dallas Texas. Ranging in influences from Oasis to White Stripes, from Radiohead to Nirvana, Franks weaves together a unique style of music that is all the more recognizable.

Combining heavy rock with pop, punk and grunge while still adding a touch of British invasion, Derek brings together his own unique music that contains elements of Oasis or Nirvana or The White Stripes while having Beatles style vocal production.

After making his musical debut with Dallas' own The Subterranean Aviators, Derek left the group to focus on a style suiting his own musical taste. He now writes, plays, performs, records and produces his own music. Upon working for a while, experimenting with several different styles, Derek settled with a very unique rock appeal, incorporating entirely an original combination based solely on his immense passion for rock based in the UK, while still coming away with an American polish.

Check out the tunes, there's more coming
