<p>Derek Franks is currently a solo artist based in&nbsp; Dallas Texas. Ranging in influences from Oasis to White Stripes, from Radiohead to Nirvana, Franks weaves together a unique style of music that is all the more recognizable.<br /><br />Combining heavy rock with pop, punk and grunge while still adding a touch of British invasion, Derek brings together his own unique music that contains elements of Oasis or Nirvana or The White Stripes while having Beatles style vocal production.<br /><br />After making his musical debut with Dallas' own The Subterranean Aviators, Derek left the group to focus on a style suiting his own musical taste. He now writes, plays, performs, records and produces his own music. Upon working for a while, experimenting with several different styles, Derek settled with a very unique rock appeal, incorporating entirely an original combination based solely on his immense passion for rock based in the&nbsp; UK, while still coming away with an American polish.<br /><br />&nbsp; Check out the tunes, there's more coming</p>
