By ElectronicSpotlight, 2008-11-04

Number 1 today :My Song Orion with 6 plays : well as i listen to this track I get a distinct retro feel coming through .The piano has a sequence feel to it as if its been quantised to dance with the pure retro drums....that hi hat is so drum machine ! in a good sense I must add.

Number 2 today : AVoid me :Emphyrio : hell yeah theres a touch of trance happening here and what a great filter squelch you've given us ! Sonic treats from Emphyrio. catch this you'll enjoy it .

Number 3 today : I Love You Baby .Linda Now this is a new artist for me I must admit I have not heard from Linda before. Great effected vocals hit 1st and the feeling of pop also comes to the fore. Then the main real vocal comes in. Sounds like those effects could be reason based ...I liked this track a lot as its so damned honest : it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is a great little pop song.Nice one Linda.

Sly

November Spotlight falls on Wavephonic

By ElectronicSpotlight, 2008-11-04

Okay its Novemeber and thiis month i have put wavephonic in the spotlight. Here is a brief from the man himself ED:
Hanging out in the Hamilton music scene here in Canada back in the 70's and 80's was a great experience. You couldn't help but get swept up in the great music that was being produced in this city back then. During that time I was playing guitars and drums with friends and just starting to write my own tracks. Once the 90's hit I became interested in synthesizers and sound design, that changed my scope completely and led to a more experimental outlook on what I was writing. Currently with my own home studio I've found that with a mix of traditional instruments and todays computer technology the sky is the limit when producing original material. I label my stuff experimental because I'm never sure of what the end result is going to be, as a fan of many different genres, the music becomes a melting pot of ideas and short stories. Actually I put Alternative because it was close to the top....lol I'm really excited about producing music in todays environment, its the spice in my life and keeps me motivated to try new things. Most of what I do is a solo effort, but now the internet has connected me with some great musicians all over the world and its cool that some have givin me the opportunity to work with them. I'm having the time of my life making music and I hope theres something here that you find interesting. ...appreciate your support.. Ed

http://www.mixposure.com/WAVEphonic/

Ed creates great music and his collab's are simply superb take a listen to songs like Northern Lights with Gem and Born Of Wings with Mr.Potter and the quality is there to hear and feel. Then compare the errie production that is Machines At Night to the subtle soundscape of Passing Over a beautiful song with such a deep meaningful subject. Its a pure joy to listen and enchant oneself.

So if you can get over to Ed's page and show some support.

As always electronically yours

Sly
