Anyway sat with a coffee listening to A day to save :
Firstly on the initial listen I'm hearing hints of Mr.Considine in this piece that's bringing back memories ...
So you asked for my ear and my impressions - well let's start at the beginning - drifting in on an offbeat is cool Dace the guitars are multi layered and multi effected which adds the depth to this track. Those gritty bending lines blend everything together really well - you don't notice the lack of bass because the guitars do all the work.
There are some great little lines in here Dace imagination on full tilt with some great execution.
It takes the listener away and I get the feeling the place could be golden or for some grey .....
The drums ! Now you're adding variation to the fills there's a different dimension within simple placement of the cymbals does the trick - it's not rocket science but it's a lesson that should be learned ...
I like the mood and I can hear synths in behind this a moog bass dreamy pads .......
