Updates - See Any Bugs?

Site News

Gene:
Not seeing the blog contents or comments now? Chrome and IE

I am seeing many bugs, via mobile and mobile is the main reality and growing... I know most musicians use a computer to listen in on chat or just browse the site in general but, bugs are here- the search engine needs attention. It doesn't actually search the person you're looking for, but everything but. You have to scroll down the page quite a bit to find any kind of link. It's very confusing. That's on the computer and mobile. I use iPhone and a Mac Computer. -The photo's on songs get in the way of the information. The layout seems to really be troubled on my iPhone. It's such a mess, peeps won't even bother going further if they're new, and even us oldies to the site get really turned off. It's really bad. Other than that, all is AMAZING!!!!!!! I LOVE MIXPOSURE! Now get with the times so we can get more people in.

Five years is a long time.

FAQ and Help

You don’t realize how much time has passed, until you reflect back on the day you sat at your audio desk for the last time in a while. I did that a couple of months ago when I acquired a replacement for my much beloved and broken audio consol, five years ago. As some of you know, I record with analog gear. I have been building and tearing down my recording studio for 45+ years now, and I think I finally have come to point in my life where things will be settled for the duration of my time here on this rock. So I make a final investment on what I consider, “forever gear.” I am rustier than I thought I would be. I have forgotten how to use some of the equipment that I have that is more elaborate. I never thought I would forget those little things that take literally days, weeks, and sometimes months to regain comfortable knowledge of. The funny thing is, my singing voice is probably better than it’s ever been. I was afraid I’d lose it. Now if I can just get my inspiration back where it needs to be. I’ve written a couple of songs and did one collaboration all of which I am extremely happy with. But I have a ways to go. I hope you will be here with me and support me in my journey. I do this for the love of music and the love for all of you!

Can a recording be “too perfect?”

Center Stage

I find a lot of the music I hear especially on network radio that has been done in the last ten or so years sounds inhuman. It gets on my nerves. It’s really frustrating when I hear a great song that’s been so worked with plugins, it’s become completely lifeless. There are many who mix with real gear and digital and work a little harder to get a real take and rely on the performance and placement to speak for itself. This is what I look for. Or for someone to really fool me. Haha!
