Greetings from high in the Sierras of N.California !!  I guess I'm suppose to say a little about myself so here we go...Born in London England a few years ago , played with "Average Teenage Garage Band " for several years in Germany in the 60"s.. then moved to Calif. in the late sixties into the Bay Area.. for the next few years until the early 70's I found myself hanging and playing with several  well known North bay area Musicians in one form or another as a hired guitarist ,singer, and friend... during this time I began composing and performing my material as writer/singer/guitarist at many different settings...

In about 73' I formed "The Gary Richards Project" and performed my compositions using the best players/friends available that the budget allowed. The GRP performed for nearly 3 decades and ended when my Partner of those years passed away and I moved to the Mountains .. The venues thru that period covered everything from The bars, Parties, weddings  thru major motorcycle events in the  in the Redwoods....  had several songs on the local radio stations, made recording adventures at some of Sonoma counties finest studios....did couple weeks in Hawaii, and so on and so on .... I could drop names for whatever purpose it might serve but, never been that way....we all have our stories.... the bottom line is now that I'm retired (from the working thing) I'm finding it hard to hookup with local players in this Small town  who want to play and or can perform their works with authority and spirit...  So...thanks to my good friend & member Ron Dadey ( Who always had to be paid $1.00 more than me)  Here I am and there you all are ... perhaps we can collaborate and put together some great music/stories......and chat more .. until then I will see if I can get a Handle on this site........
