In ancient times some believed that placing a coin in the mouth or two coins in the eyes of the deceased, would help pay the toll for the ferry to help cross the Styx river which would lead one to the entrance of the underworld. If some could not pay the fee it was said that they would never be able to cross the river.

What a magnificant instrumental track! Love the musicality of the main theme. The guitar job is awesome, some of the shredding is just out of this world. Thanks for D/L!

“Keep it heavy, keep it melodic, and keep it interesting. This is how I think when I make music.” Morgan Pettersson Human Cometh begins and ends with the virtuosity and emotion of Swedish guitarist-songwriter Morgan Pettersson. The band came out of casual ‘jam sessions’ back in late 2009 when Pettersson and fellow Swede, singer Kaj Roth found they shared similar influences and musical styles. From these sessions arose the foundation of what was to become “Human Cometh”. “Finding the ‘right’ singer was first and foremost. Someone who could convey what I was putting down on guitars and color the songs with great lyrics along with a voice to tell my stories. Kaj is that voice.” says Pettersson. Now Pettersson had his voice and needed to find the right rhythm section to complete his vision. Prior to joining forces with Roth, Pettersson had been spending the bulk of his playing time posting tracks to kompoz.com, an online music collaboration website. Pettersson found his music to be well received on kompoz.com and made music with people all over the world. With tens of thousands musicians worldwide subscribing to kompoz.com, Pettersson found his rhythm section with Bjron Pehrson on bass and Jon Robbins on drums. Pehrson, a fellow Swede, living just a few hundred miles from Pettersson co-incidently, gives a driving and rhythmic bottom end to which Robbins, from Fayetteville, NC, compliments with his powerful drumming style. The last piece to complete the roster was the addition of singer Steven Gardner from Boston, MA to provide back-up vocals. With exception of Morgan and Kaj, the band members have never met in person, not even so much as a telephone call between them. The resulting debut release, “Evolution”, is the vision of Morgan Pettersson. The entire CD was recorded in a non-traditional way. All the tracks were recorded individually by the band members in their ‘home’ studios and then sent to Pettersson via the Internet, with the final mixing and mastering completed by renowned producer Ulf Wahlberg with XTC Productions based in Sweden “Evolution” is nine tracks of melodic, heavy hard rock and metal featuring the searing guitars of Morgan Pettersson and melodic vocals of Kaj Roth. To demonstrate Human Cometh is all about creativity and the sheer joy of making music, the band decided the CD will be available as a FREE download on www.humancometh.com. Says Pettersson;“We feel it’s more important to reach our audience with the music than to make money, so we felt it was a great way to introduce the band and our debut record”. A second Human Cometh full-length CD is in the works for release in late summer of 2010. Humancometh Online: www.humancometh.com - - Contact: info@humancometh.com info@humancometh.com
