<p>Nick Layton is a professional rock/metal guitarist, composer, teacher and touring clinician based in Vancouver, WA, USA.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Nick&rsquo;s latest CD <em>Storming the Castle </em>is a mix of 10 highly melodic tracks ranging from epic metal to emotional ballads, featuring virtuoso guitar playing. Inspired by the great artists and virtuoso guitarists of the late 70&rsquo;s and 80&rsquo;s, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore, George Lynch, Michael Schenker, John Sykes, Queesnryche and Savatage, Nick became obsessed with the guitar as a teenager and never looked back.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>In addition to his work as a recording artist Layton also stays busy by teaching private guitar students and is the author of several instructional courses for rock/metal guitarists as well.
