Great contrast between the intro and the main part of the song. Super smooth melodic lead phrases...seems to be a trademark for you!

Agree with Dave's power statement. Solid delivery from all. Guitar playing is superb and the vox are delivered with conviction.

Nick Layton is a professional rock/metal guitarist, composer, teacher and touring clinician based in Vancouver, WA, USA.

Nick’s latest CD Storming the Castle is a mix of 10 highly melodic tracks ranging from epic metal to emotional ballads, featuring virtuoso guitar playing. Inspired by the great artists and virtuoso guitarists of the late 70’s and 80’s, including Yngwie Malmsteen, Vinnie Moore, George Lynch, Michael Schenker, John Sykes, Queesnryche and Savatage, Nick became obsessed with the guitar as a teenager and never looked back.

In addition to his work as a recording artist Layton also stays busy by teaching private guitar students and is the author of several instructional courses for rock/metal guitarists as well. Nick has also toured the USA performing and presenting guitar instructional clinics throughout the Midwestern and eastern USA at Guitar Center and also the famous House of Guitars in New York.

“With the finesse of Steve Vai, Mike Slamer, Magnus Karlson, Dan Huff, Vinnie Moore, Emir Hot or Joe Satriani, Nick Layton's Storming the Castle is a wave of one sensational piece of guitar work after another.”—Hard Rock Haven (Rating 8.8 out of 10)

“Nick Layton's 'Storming The Castle' is a seminal work, one of creativity, beauty and brilliance. Every song is wonderful piece of art carefully formed by very passionate and skillful hands. Highly recommended!” - Dangerdog.com (Rating 5 out of 5)

Currently Nick is recording with his new band FireWolfe set for a spring 2011 release.
