<p>I&rsquo;m passionate about writing music and lyrics even though I am not a professional musician. I gravitate toward haunting melodies, dark harmonies and layered ideas in both my music and lyrics.</p><p>I studied classical guitar with Tessa Ziegler in South Africa an awfully long time ago and I owe her a debt of gratitude. My high school English teacher, Mrs van Niekerk, woke me up to the genius of Shakespeare and the alchemy of words. I will always be indebted to her too. I played in a few bands during my teen years, but now I just play and write music whenever I can.</p><p>I am inspired to write music (very neatly as you can see), some of which I have recorded in my small home studio and showcased here to share. These compositions are pretty rough because I really need more practice and I&rsquo;m a neophyte Pro Tools audio engineer.</p><p>Maybe, one day a superior artist will perform these better than I... in the meanwhile, I hope you like what you hear.</p>
