<td colspan="2" width="976" height="1219" valign="top"><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">Jason was born on May 29th , 1974, in Hagerstown Maryland, and grew up in Greencastle, which was just across the Mason-Dixon line, in Pennsylvania. He was born with an eye defect that left him legally blind in both eyes. Music really did not interest Jason as a child, even though his mom and brother John were very musical. Jason&rsquo;s childhood hobbies included martial arts, and movies. At 13, Jason formed a rock and with a few friends.. He had fun manning the helm as lead singer. They just did it for fun, and never took it too seriously. The whole "rock"thing died fast, and the band split.<br /> <br /> </span>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">In 1987, Jason started playing around with his mom's Yamaha acoustic guitar, and one day, with her help, Jason learned three chords. He took the next few weeks adding chords to his repertoire, and even taking up the keyboard. At age 13, Jason penned his first song, &ldquo;I'll Be There For You&rdquo;. It was not the best, but it was a start. His next attempt, &ldquo;Hard to say Good-bye&rdquo; was much better. So good in fact, this tear-jerking crowd pleaser can be found on Jason&rsquo;s Debut CD, Follow Your Heart.<br /> <br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">Jason played in several bands in the next few years. The first was Muddy Run. They played out a little, and the experience helped Jason get his name out, but bigger things were in the works. One night in late December, Jason received a call from a band looking for a musician. He auditioned for the band a few short days later and within 30 minutes; Jason was offered the job as lead singer for the band, Thunder Road. Jason enjoyed more popularity than the other bands, and he enjoyed every minute of performing.. It was here that Jason knew he belonged on a stage.<br /> <br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">Jason wanted to find a band where he could have more say in the business end of performing., So he split from Thunder Road., and formed Whitehorse. He brought Bill Martin with him from Thunder Road to fill the bass spot.. Jason&rsquo;s father, John Sr. helped them more then anyone else, running all the sound for Thunder Rd., and then for Whitehorse. He also hauled all the band equipment, and set it up. Together, Jason worked with his dad to do the bookings, and with his mom to do Promotions. They added three centeral Pennsylvania musicians, and Whitehorse was complete.<br /> <br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">This new band, whose tagline was &ldquo;Rockin&rsquo; Country and Classic Rock,&rdquo; had great success in booking. Whitehorse had the great sound, great light show, and a loyal fan base. The band took their high-energy show all over the place, getting positive reactions wherever they went. But because of personal differences, the members of Whitehorse eventually went their own ways. In 1992, Jason gained the courage to send a few of his songs into several publishing companies. There was no response at that time, but like they say good things come to those who wait, and good things did come...<br /> <br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">Six years later. In September of 1998, Jason got a call from the A&amp;R rep at Galaxy Entertainment. The owner, Eric Straton, has worked with ZZ Top, Cinderella, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Diamond Rio, Little Texas, and many other big name artists. They wanted to hear some more of Jason&rsquo;s songs,and invited him down to their studio. They wanted to see what he sounded like with a professional recording. So in November of 1998, Beckie Godlewski, his girlfriend/manager at the time (Now wife), and Jason were on our way to Mobile, AL to record the song &ldquo;Love That Will Never Die&rdquo;.<br /> <br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">Beckie said half way through the trial runthrough of the song, Eric got up from his chair and went into the other room. She didn't know why he would do that, but soon realized he went to tell his A&amp;R rep he wanted to sign Jason to his record label. The song sounded great, and the offer was on the table. After a lot of thinking and contract negotiations, Jason became the newest member of the Galaxy entertainment family. In January of 1999, the couple were on our way to Mobile to record the rest of the songs that would make up Jason&rsquo;s debut CD Follow Your Heart. </span><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">Jason wrote all of the songs on the Follow Your Heart. The CD was originally going to be called Writing the Words as I Go, but was changed at the last minute. &ldquo;The name change was symbolic&rdquo; Jason says, &ldquo;because I would never be where I am today if I didn't Follow My Heart.&rdquo; As of October, 2003, Jason has sold many CDs across the country.<br /> <br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">In May of 2005, Jason purchased the equipment to record his second CD, and on October 19th, 2005, the new CD entitled "Home" was on sale on his website and at his live shows. Th title track was written on the back decl of his dad's house during a visit in 2004. </span><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">In Early 2006, Jason Released his third CD, "All&nbsp;Grown Up", and in June of 2006, Jason Released the CD "The Favorites" This CD&nbsp;featured songs from all three of his CDs as well as 3 songs from an unreleased CD. In June, 2006, Jason was hired to be the house entertainment for a mexican resteraunt in Hendersonville, Tennessee. While playing his 3 night a week gig, Jason managed to finish recording his fifth CD, Entitled "I'll Never Be the Same". </span><span style="font-size: medium; color: #8ab1c7;">In October of 2007, Jason released "Doin' It... for the Fans". the fans response was great, He felt this was his best CD yet. and the sales supported is thoughts. After once again CLAIMING&nbsp;to take a break from writing and recording, Jason immediatly began work on his 7th CD. "Closer is schedualed to be released in September of 2008, and will feature an amazing guitar player named Porter McClister. Porter was Tanya Tucker's Lead player for the last 5 years, and is currently the band leader and lead guitarist for the amazing Heidi Newfield. Heidi is the former lead singer of Trick Pony, and is now a wonderful solo artist with her first single, "Johnny and June," all over the radio and on CMT and GAC. WIth the help of Porter, Jason once again expects "Closer" to be his best work yet. </span></p>
