Cubase is hard!
Struth, couple weeks of having cubase LE 4 and I think I'm slowely getting it, ( I think)

Its a tricky program, and I so far now can record and playback and use the inbuilt guitar rig 3 ( any one got these programs?)

Any way I'm trying to figure out how to use my drum loops (wav)

I can copy and past them but its a pain in the ...

any one know of an easier way to copy a loop and make it into about `20 ?? In guitar tracks pro 3 I could copy a single drum loop, and past in about 100 via a menu thingy, not sure if i can do that here in cubase le 4 , any one know ? and know of good forum sites for this program?

Hi stone
All is cool mate
Don't get me started on fruity loops LOL.............................
Nigel.
you know i really was not trying to hurt any ones feelings!
i was just telling milo,{ because he was asking for help } that i had a bad time with cubase. as well as, if your set on using the software, where to go , and who to talk too, to maybe minimise the the hard time for him that i had, just friendly advice.
i guess i could have worded it a little different, but i doubt that would have made any difference. my apologies milo.
let's see, i have sonar 6 producer,cubase4, ableton live7, and a few others, and in my opinion, the cubase is the tuffest one to work in.
the easiest would be ableton.
but remember, i don't have an engineers degree!
this is just a layman's point of view.
Well to be honest, I think I own just about every host known to man on Windows platform. IMO there is no worst or better host. These days they are all pretty much the same, just different terminology and different routes to accomplish the same task. Use whatever works for you. It's all good !!!!
I have used Cubase Sx for the past 3 years.
It's old and out of date, but I like it.
Can't afford to upgrade.
Cloning tracks is easy.
Select track with left click, right click, duplicate.
Nigel
cubase does not suck.. infact it is probably better than any other platform out there.. including protools. Milo.. there are quite a few message boards out there that dont treat you mean or otherwise. Pm me with your troubles.. and perhaps i can help you iron out a few of them.
Cubase has the steepest of learning curves. I am a trained recording engineer and i found the curve a bit daunting at first. But with a bit of perseverence and some help from some friends I am using cubase sx3 with some fantastic results. All of my computer based recording has been done on cubase.
I have looked at other platforms and well as far as i am concerned they pale in comparison to the power of cubase once it is understood. Yes its hard but then again life is hard, and for those who find it dificult to rise to the challange of a particular system It may be suggested that they find a system that suits their particular style of learning. I wont let my personal opinion of other systems intercede here because i dont think its appropriate.
i am a cakewalk guy, and hate cubase! but i have used cubase4.
i am pretty shure you can incert your loop, and then just clone it!
also,the place to go for info on cubase is the stienburg forums for cubase. there is a lot of info there, but there are a lot of mean people over there as well!{ they will realy frustrate you with there crap! }
one of the reasons i am still with cakewalk.
if you can talk to any one there, i would say beagle is the guy to talk too. he is realy cool, and super smart at this stuff! the only one i ever talked too.
the best of luck to you jason,
IMHO, CUBASE SUCKS! but that's just my opinion.
