I remember many years ago as mom turned on the radio,an english band was playing Penny Lane.

And even tho I was a lad, I suddenly felt very glad and couldn't wait to hear the band again.

There were songs with skys of marmalade, an octopus was in the shade and yellow matter custard yesterday.

But now, there's nothing left to hear just empty rhymes from yesteryear.  I don't know why the music went away.

Tell me where have all the beatles gone?  Ringo, George, Paul and John.  Did we grow tired of all the songs they sing?

Did they pay the taxman all they o'de for the trips they took down Abbey Road, are they all adrift a Yellow Submarine?  Where have they gone?
