<p>Hi everybody .......i read this article on mixing by some guy who has engineered for profesional bands</p><p>i liked his aproach....he said mix like people who are already accepted (the pros)</p><p>some of the points he taught were.....pan the electric guitar all the way to the left, add a little reverb......then copy it and pan it all the way to the right with a little delay and ata a lower volume......i used this effect on my new song <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/index.php?t=mixposure_song_player&song_id=21543&band_id=2035">thirsty</a> check it out...</p><p>you want your bass guitar and kick drum the same volume panned in the middle.......vocals in the middle turned up just til it's loud.....you know what's loudest........any more volume would make it softer because of the trebles....the magnitude of loudness is a good way to look at it.....magnitude is "greatness in relation to" something at a higher volume wouldn't have the punch that a lower volume might have....when it's loudest it's loud</p><p>let me make an add now........i used these thinks on an older song <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/index.php?t=mixposure_song_player&song_id=21228&band_id=2035">Unloved</a> and posted the remix also....check it out.....have a good day........joel </p><p>One more thought......he said you want your bass tones panned to the left </p>
