John Kaye & John Huldt are the creative team behind The Overlords melodic

John Kaye is the singer/songwriter of the duo. Originally born in Chicago, John is the 4th generation in his family to continue their music legacy.
John's professional music career began as co-writer and support bassist/backup/frontman singer on White Whale Records in Los Angeles for JK & Co. "Suddenly One Summer" at 14 years of age. J K & Co - Suddenly One Summer [full album] (1968) Which is currently considered one of the better "Psychedelic Projects" of that era. After several various recordings, the award winning R&B album of "John Kaye Singer/Songwriter was independently released on CIA Records and is currently circulating on YouTube Picture In My Pocket
John was inducted into the "Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame" in 2011 in Las Vegas, Voted "Best R&B Soul Artist Of The Year” in the 6th Annual Southern California SBMA Events, invited contender for "The Voice!" in 2013 and "X-Factor" in 2014, nominee for "Best Tribute Band Of The Year" 2015 for John Kaye & Steppenwolf Tribute "Psychedelic Review" in SoCal. Played as an Acoustic Soloist extensively thoughout So Cal. for 2015 while writing and recording demos for his debut release on August 12th, 2016 of "Terminal Heat” available at www.TheOverlords.com
His Father, Aunt, and Uncle, started the Las Vegas Lounge Scene and are the highest paid lounge act in Las Vegas Casino History. His Aunt, Mary Kaye is the namesake of the Fender Guitar named the Mary Kaye Stratocaster. She is also known as the “First Lady Of Rock & Roll” as mentioned on the Fender Guitar Company website

John Huldt is the music director, producer, and lead guitarist for The Overlords. His talent is an unsurpassed combination of the songwriting and translation of all compositions for the project at hand.
John is originally from Sweden and is an Award winning guitar player that has made Los Angles his home since his arrival in 2006. John’s meeting in 2007 with John Kaye has been a solid friendship for years prior to their music collaboration beginnings in 2015.
John taught advanced guitar classes for Los Angeles Music Academy & Pasadena College which he also wrote the curriculum for both. He’s become the most versatile guitarist among his peers and continues to receive accolades from many of the top names in the music industry. Two instrumental releases by John,"Rules Do Not Apply” is an in-depth guitar driven album displaying many facets of his command of the guitar and his heavily orchestrated, "Permanent State of Transformation” is a composition that is influenced by his favorite composer John Williams.
He is the representative for one of the most innovative accomplishments of the guitar industry, The Kemper Profiler. He travels extensively in trade shows and guitar seminars when not involved in a project. John has won numerous talent competitions and continues to compete always ending as one of
