Bio - In 2010 Junior Turner entered a competition to release a national single for BBC Children in Need. He went on to win the competition out of 110,000 applicants to release a single for "BBC Children in Need". In Oct 2010 he shot to national fame when he recorded and released a cover version of the world famous "The Impossible Dream" Whilst promoting his BBC single he had handed out demo recordings including a self penned track called "Say Goodbye". In due course he received a phone call from war veteran's charity "Help for Heroes" co founder Bryn Parry asking if they could use this song for their charity. In April 2011 Junior Turner released Say Goodbye in support of Help for Heroes. In 2012 he recorded his first ever official 1radio UK newcomers chart number 1 single with 'Loveblind featuring Jess Wood'. He then went on to follow that up with a further 2 1radio number 1 singles with 'Sweet Love' & a christmas 2012 number 1 with 'Hurt featuring Robbie Williams guitarist Neil Taylor'. In November 2012 he released his eagerly anticipated 'critically acclaimed' debut album 'Under Scrutiny'. In 2013 he followed it up with the release of 'Better Day' which has had rave reviews both here in the UK & in the USA. It has recently went No.1 in the official newcomers/unsigned chart in Austin, Texas USA as well as a number of weeks at Number 1 in New Jersey, USA Junior Turner followed this up with yet another self penned track titled 'Natural & Nice' telling the tale of how one's self confidence levels when magnified can become one's self destruction. This has recently topped the official UK unsigned chart. Junior then went on to change his ways & genre once again to show his versatility by releasing 'Hurricane' telling the tale of Karma, which was released September 27th 2013 and went on to top the charts in Scotland and for 3 weeks in New Jersey, USA. He finished off 2013 with a christmas single 'it's christmas time' .again this recieved amazing feedback around the globe along with number 1 position in various radio charts around the globe. 2014 Junior decided to go back to his strongest asset, his voice, with his first release a power ballad that again could easily be related to with 'Save me'. Again it rocketed to number 1 in several USA state charts and was about to give Junior the next step he endeavoured. In April 2014 Junior picked up 'Best Pop Song' at the prestigious awards ceremony for 'the indie music channel' as well as 2 award in Los Angeles in December 2014 at the Akademia Music Awards. He also had several other nominations in 2 other award ceremonies in the USA however despite not going on to win the said awards the nominations alone are a huge achievement for Junior and his music. These achievements may just open the next door to the next chapter in the career of Junior Turner. In his career Junior Turner has worked with some of the UK and worlds finest musicians and producers for who he is held in high regard with. His future certainly looks prosperous to say the least.
