Leslie Woods Meyers is a Canadian music artist - singer/songwriter/performer of Campbellton, New Brunswick. Singing would begin when she could talk followed by songwriting at the age of 11 when her mother gifted her with her first guitar, deciding it was far easier to move a guitar than an upright Bechstein.  Growing up in a home where her mother’s love of Country music was the glue that made a house, a home, you would think the Country would have taken hold, but wired for her own path, rock and blues would be the direction she would follow.  Who’d have thought that being raised on George Jones, Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn would find her singing in the styles of Susan Tedeschi, Dale Krantz, Ann Wilson, Etta James, Kathi McDonald, Holly Woods.  Her Country influences, not to be wasted tho, would later find their way into her writing as stories in a lyric so indicative of a good country song - stories of love, life, loss and all that makes the world go 'round.

Fronting various bands as lead vocalist would lead her to sharing the stage on more than a few occasions with Canada's legendary Prime Minister of the Blues, the late Dutch Mason and upon his invitation, recording a demo with his band in Halifax. An offer from Dutchie's agency followed, but her heart called her to Toronto, where weekend jamming on the local blues scene would find her playing in the best of company including Tom Stevens of the Jeff Healey Band, Jerome Godboo, Michael Pickett, Danny Marks to name a few. A return to New Brunswick followed, where she fronted various bands as lead vocalist performing Rock, R&B and Blues in her hometown and where she returned to her love of songwriting. Penned originals would see her a finalist in a Maritime provinces wide contest for songwriters/performers garnering heavy radio airplay. Then, as life would happen, it did, placing all music aspirations on hold.

Now, with an even greater story to tell along with a soulful and heartfelt from-the-tips-of-her-toes vocal delivering her songs of love and life with honesty, insight and raw emotion, full on she follows what leads her...heart and soul!
