He plays pubs and clubs around Lancashire in the 80s and Cambridgeshire/Suffolk in the 90s and 00s. Not gigging at present but trying to put another band together - there's no feeling like it! Band History: I started in a metal band called Omen in the 80s up in Lancashire. Played a lot of gigs over 4 years before we went our separate ways. Moved to the Cambridge area and joined Beyond This Place but this only lasted a year. Formed Renegade, an originals rock band in the early 90s and gigged and recorded for around 5 years. Had a two year break then joined Hope & Glory, a Cambridge based originals and classic rock covers band. We played a lot of gigs around East Anglia until the band split 3 years later. Had another break to re-record and master the Renegade CD that was never finished, then started Bridge Too Far, a Suffolk based band. Played two gigs before good old musical differences hit the band. His debut album, livefire in 1993, opened the way to a world of instrumental rock music in what was then a pop-dominated world. Influenced heavily by Joe Satriani, Def Leppard and Pink Floyd, TJ Gardner often incorporates a warm sound of guitar with a dominant melodic rock tone. Since 1993, he has used Ibanez guitars, until 2004 when he switched to Jackson guitars. TJ Gardner also has used Tama series drums since the 1980's, until 2005 when he switched to Peavey. In 1987, Gardner was recruited by several local bands in his hometown of Keyser, West Virginia. Later, in 1993, Gardner Started writing and composing his own material which would get him to were he is today. Biography and playing history TJ Gardner was inspired to play guitar at age 14 after learning of the death of Def Leppard guitarist Steve Clark. He heard the news after waking up and hearing the news over the radio, where he immediately decided to become a guitarist. In 1993, TJ Gardner released the album livefire. The album did not sell well, particularly due to equipment issues. "Moving up" was featured on the album. "The path" was also featured on this album. In 1996, TJ Gardner joined up with the band Dreamscape, they compiled a wide list of music however the band went different ways before releasing an album. In late 1997, TJ Gardner joined Stomp Faction as a short-term drummer during the band's final years only releasing one album before hanging it up. In 2003, he started working on new music, a concept of making a comeback after the huge disappointment of livefire. This would be the point in his music career that he decided to make an album featuring not just new music, but songs he felt should be heard from his livefire project. Over the next several years, TJ Gardner regularly recorded and released new music, including updated tracks including "moving up", "the path", "tears of the angels", "Never 2 things the same", and "in the dark". In 2006 Gardner joined up with independent musicians RedeyeC, Valkir, Paul Oakley with the international group M3. M3 recorded and released back to back 1 hits on the Internet to become one of the fastest growing unsigned bands on the net. On July 5, 2006 TJ Gardner released his long awaited album crush, as well as celebrating 20th anniversary of his music career, and his accomplishments over the past few years. In 2007 Gardner complied several tracks unreleased for the crush album, the album was called out of this world, also Gardner has joined up with former band mates Lou Stone from Dreamscape, along beside his brother John Gardner to form the band Thorezeen. Thorezeen's line up consist of Gardner going back to playing drums. Thorezeen has recently switched bassist, John Gardner was replaced by Alex Steele. Thorezeen has been working on their debut album entitled highly medicated. Other work TJ Gardner is also credited on many other albums, including guitar duties on RedeyeC's album collaborations, Drums on Stomp faction's 1997 self debut album. Technique and influence TJ Gardner is widely recognized as a highly melodic guitarist and has been described as a virtuoso. He has mastered many performance techniques on the instrument. His success is notable in a genre typically unfriendly to instrumental musicians, and is highly recognized by the underground of independent artist. Gear TJ Gardner has endorsed Ibanez and Jackson guitars, and Tama and Peavey drums. TJ Gardner has used Crate guitar amps over the years. His effects pedals include Digitech, and boss. Started taking lessons on the mandolin at 9 then added guitar when he turned 12. Stopped formal training when he hit 16 and started learning everything he could: Santana, Deep Purple, Savoy Brown, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, and a lot more. Then, in 1973 he discovered Blue Oyster Cult and a great friend in Donald (buck dharma) Roeser who became and still is his biggest influence and inspiration. At 20 he began trying to compose his own music and at 23 started a mostly original band, they did a few select covers. Did that for the next ten years. That part of his life then ended for numerous reasons but he continued to jam along with friends and the stereo in my home. Now he's back at it, writing and recording music at his home in the country. The Internet has given him the opportunity to have his music heard. He's also met and collaborated with lots of cool musicians and have heard some excellent music created by independent artists. The guitar has been a major part of his life and will continue as long as his fingers will let him. And now a new chapter begins in his life. He has found love, his soul mate and he dedicates the rest of his time here on earth to his love, Gina. Syngularity started 1997 with a couple of melodic electronica tracks. Sometimes we touch the symphonic/soundtrack genre, and we also love to include elements of rock and a special sound design (using hardware devices like Roland and Korg and fine virtual solutions created by Steinberg, Spectrasonics, HG Fortune and many others). International singers and instrumentalists are always involved, and we enjoy working together with all these talented artists who help us to keep the musical output colourful and fresh. After the album debut ("Eye Of Orion" with his partner Minouche in 2000 Pascal Gregory invited talented friends, singers and instrumentalists from Germany, USA, Australia, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, UK and Japan. All involved artists developed a style together that also includes influences of modern rock, jazz and pop. Syngularity was honored with several award nominations and kind mentions by numerous befriended musicians and music software developers. "The 7th Dimension" - a pure instrumental album - is the first official release of Syngularity, proving the power of collaboration. On this album you will hear catchy synth themes, shining guitars, a little new age flair sometimes, and some quite dark ambiences. Geeez....I hope so.....and, just in case it's too much trouble...you could always go back and read my review for your song Genesis to perhaps draw some inspiration for a non travelling tour of sorts......OH, well what do you know !!!!! M3 !!!! Wow !!!! This is really some very heavy sounding guitarists you have brought together. This is what I would consider some serious competition for many acts that feature this type of progressive guitar work !!!! The backing is rockin' in the truest sense !!!! Yes, I do believe that this is something special, and, would highly recommend that all of you, including past and future collaborators should put on a live show somewhere on this planet. No wait....better idea...why not have a live jam and simulcast it through the web. That way no one has to spend too much time and resources gathering all you fine musicians in one place. With the advent of technology, I believe this is something that could be accomplished. Well, what do you say ???? Is the challenge one that you would consider, or, am I being a bit too forward in my expectations. Because, I'll tell you, I know there would be a lot of people interested in checking out a concert of this type. Think about it. No one has to drive or fly to the venue !!!! It's all at our fingetips gentlemen !!!! And I for one believe that you are onto something that should be shared in a way that is as unique as your beautiful collaboration that I am listening to with great joy right now !!!! Can you say, POW, right in the kisser ???? I knew you could !!!! Cheers, ZEST P.S. NO JOKE !!!! This is a real culmination of great artistry and talent coming together from all over the world in a recording...........makes you think, doesn't it !!!! YA !!!! GENESIS, a new beginning in Rock n' Roll, and how to get it to the people !!!! WOOOOOOOO EEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!

by: BADMOUTH 4/11/2006 DID I READ THE WORDS? M3 TOUR. When you guys, either together, or individually or in any combination, are posting a track, can you let me know so I can avoid posting anything of mine at the same time LOL.
