Good to be home
Well, I just gotta say... this place is like coming home to see all my old friends and meet some new ones. I've been quiet for a long time it seems. Personal demons and all. Not that my life has been hard, I've just been really unhappy with my musical direction and needed a break. Not that I'm getting back on that horse quite yet, but I felt it was time to get out and re-connect... well... virtually anyway. I'm getting out more in reality as well. Doing some solo gigs. Kinda nerve wracking cuz I hate the way I sound... but ya gotta do it to get it out of your system sometimes.
Anyway, thanks to Dazed and everyone for welcoming back.

I tell you. I think musicians are the most self critical people on the planet. Well maybe aside from those ego maniac musicians like avril lavigne, axl rose, noel gallagher....well you get the idea.
Nothing wrong with your music Mike. Sometimes a break is good as well as a change! Work with some different artists sometime. You will be amazed at how refreshing it can be.
Hi Mike, great to hear from you again. It's been too long. Have never understood your propensity for self-doubt about your music. You are an outstanding writer, singer and guitarist. Your CD holds a cherished place in my collection. Now stop this introspection and get writing and recording. Will check your page later in the day to see if there's anything I've missed.
