MISTAH A!!! I'm the one who owes an Apology here!!! If it weren't for my "knee-jerk" reaction to your original post (which I had deleted) You wouldn't have felt attacked. I should have simple directed you, as DAZED did to the BLOG above, so you could see very many different views on this subject. After haveing a few PM conversations with you, Mistah A, I fully KNOW where you're coming from and understand your FULLY SUPPORTIVE Opinions of this site.

No apology necessary. It has been a hop topic as you can see on the main page. Just read about the Review Crew :). Review how you want to review but remember, it is always better to guide than to slap!

Mistah_A - Greetings...I really don't see any need for you to apologize. You said it straight forward quite well. Nothings perfect in sites...& I've rather have a constructive one, than a short sugary one...that says, "Nice...good tune, well done".
That type is more like someone trying to get through lot of reviews in a very short period of time and please everyone. You did fine & in the review post discussion/comment/opinions, your words were close to much of others. You, saying you've played makes your point of view likely better than someone trying to say things about someone's music from a view that's not from their own sound knowledge. A technical knowledgable reviewer will be able to give a good review using proper tech vocabulary & a reviewer who has a more creative side, will be better saying something in terms of mood, feeling and hoe the music affects them. So one is likely to get a variety of perspective ideally, that are genuine.
Thanks for you input. -Vesa

It seems I have struck a dissonant chord with some you out there. I never intended or expected this to become the issue it has. Perhaps it is a good thing or at least I hope it is. I was thinking to myself after receiving more than a modicum of messages why the the negative ones were so ugly and angry. In my minds eye reactions of this intensity are not created by dissonence but rather resonance and reverberation. So if the shoe fits wear it. As a newbe please excuse my ignorance wit regard what seems to be an ongoing hot topic my observations were not intended to be negative. I support this site, as well as all that aspire to music all types of music. I am not here to argue or be confrontational. Just honest and supportive and the opportunity to discover music and musicians I would have no knowledge of if I didn't. I am not a hypocrit what I am is honest, concerned, supportive and encouraging.
