The way you layer up all the instrumentation and the harmonies behind you main vocal makes it so easy to love this song.

I Love the clarity and sheer depth of this piece Rich. The pain of someone disappearing out of you life never really goes away the melancholy sticks around like a lonely ghost.

Hi Brian! This sound pretty good as is but maybe some backing vocal additions might help create a short chorus on each verses ending line "Yes I think the party's come to an end" Some harmony there might put a definite separation bewteen the verses and create a short chorus of sorts. Also in the bridge some ooohs and aahhs might give it a larger impact. Just some suggestions but as I said it sounds pretty good as is.

To emphasize the mood of the lyrics and their intimacy, I think I'd bring them up more and bring down the organ (even though it's wonderful). How about messing with the tempo? This seems like it would be wonderful and painful done slower. Your vocal delivery could really make it ache. I see you messed with that at the end. Perhaps start at the main tempo but wind it down as the party does.
Hey Brian - Good hearing some music from you. Lyrically this is a pretty solid storyline. The "Let the empty glassed clink" was the only section I was uncertain about. It works and flows but with the rhyme to "sink" I thought you could work the party is over scenario a little differently but I admit I am drawing a blank on a replacement lol.
Music is good and mix is clean. No complaints!
Hello Brian..Strolling through the new postings and stopped for a listen. I was first struck by the honesty and mood created with this piece.(excellent vocals)......When I listen to music, the first thing I pay attention to, is, how it makes me feel over and above all else, I felt pulled in, to the world this song creates.
The Producer side of me says it needs a bit of verse chorus separation, but, at the same time I like the sparseness and simplicity of the voice, allows room for the music to do it's job.
also....hm, there's some sort of a (Later years)Cat Stevens vibe here, don't know, but I'm lovin it. It works for me.

Always good to hear another toon by you MR B...better yet, a demo run of a co-hort!!
Great idea for the lyric's, musically it keeps the message rolling along, (reminds me alot of the 10cc era...)
I like the way the story unfolds over the course of the toon...just like the party.
Brian and Den....Marvelous ! What strikes me first...is the pristine....production and recording...AWESOME !!Love the keys....great vocals and lyrics. Superb collab....excellent songwriting. !!! Demo...WOW...For me ,,ears.... It's hard to find any faults in this great tune..
