I really dig this tune...it's in my alley of fave genres, such good raw solid vocals. This is going right away into my faves. I really feel this has such an amazing marriage of guitar & vocals, speaking the same language, great complimenting chording. Fine lyrics. For me one of the top faves of yours (with all the songs you have it's rather hard to say, but it's unique)& it just has something that strikes me refreshed,& deep from the soul. Just SUPERB!!!DYNAMIC!
Great to hear you.
-Vesa.
This is definitely one serious acoustic stuff - where did you hide all these stuff? And it goes harmony with your perfect vocal, like they are built for each other. I was wondering how does it sound if I were to sing for my track - most probably I will get rotten eggs throwing at me. LOL! Good call, this is definitely worth listening.
With million of love from Singapore.

84 songs? been gone from your page far too long!.. love you and bret together so i'll start here.. awesome acoustic power music lexz.. you, our resident poet laureate are in fine lyrical form here as always and bret brings it to life like few could.. i just love this.. and what a great one for the 4th of july.. it sounds so american.. lexz if there were a songwriting hall of fame yours would be the first name.. and bob zimmerman would be a close 2nd.. and bruce a close 3rd.. WORD!! cheers and happy independence day my friend..
Has to be one of the best performances I've heard online in sometime. Great job on everything, the sound quality is excellent and your vocal is top notch. Great authentic folk music. I'm in awe.

This is another stellar tune!
This tune stirs something in me. Not like a dark memory, or an urge of any kind, but I am moved by it. It demands my attention, and makes me feel like you're singing to ME.
Great piece!! X 1000
Thanks for sharing

Wow, that`s a sexy guitar intro...Damn, this is a great listen...Love the singers voice and the lyrics are typically, LEX YOU ARE A WONDERFUL SONGSMITH...What more can be said?

Lex -- I'm sold. You just reach down and let it all loose. I love that raw energy and feeling in your songs, and this one is one of your best. Great lyrics and vocals --- and that acoustic sounds perfect.
lex,
you know how good this song is and what people aresaying about it. The marriage of lyrics melody and guitar a perfect match . I don't know why but i think of the first time I heard the supergroup " Blind faith " all those years ago this song could have been on that record .
Damn Lexz, you must kidding me man - you really hiding all those good stuff in a very secret place and now throw us all these fabulous sensational fusion that I cannot refuse. I believe this is the first time I am hearing the true self of Lexz (I mean it was already damn good but this had proven even better with the pure acoustic). I will cut your thoart coz I need them for my next singing session - sorry for the cruelty - can't help it - just can't help it. Hey, this track is toxication - it poisoned my mind to write these sentences. It SO DAMN GOOD!
Great acoustic guitar and very cool vocals. This is one of my fav songs from you. wonderful and perfect work. - Sven-
Lex............this is your HIT!!! WHEW!! You just knocked "Don't Let Her Tears" fall to # 2. Lex, thius is an awesome song and fantastic recording. Great story line. THANKS for Sharing....a definite DL. LOVED IT!!
Rob
Man this is awesome! Lex I love the guitar and the vox on this work so damn well. Reminds me of the band Tonic in a way. This is simply exceptional. Well done Lex. You should be proud of this.
Lex !!!! - this is simply the best thing i've ever heard ,, ever. That's how it strikes me anyway.
The pure vocal is like pure golden perfection. - the voice , phrasing and word forming is as pro as any singer could be. I like the fact , in fact , i get high on the fact that this super track is made by ,, 1,,, just 1 wooden guitar,, ,, and voice too of course. but ,,, wow, this is perfection.
