A very dark song and lyrics Mizieya. I've been watching the TV series "Paradise" . This song would fit perfectly as part of the soundtrack for that series. Nice work!...

You write such lush music. Even when it's dark, the music is lush and rich and spread out over the stereo field. I love this. Your voice is amazing on this track!

Cinematic sounding piece, I like the orchestrations and think they would be very nice as music in a graphic presentation like a movie or video.

That Guitar Choir is amazing... melodic and heavy with the same notes! I love how you accelerate, then throw in a syncopated pause then unleash hell. Totally groovy!

...have the peddle to the metal...sounds great for a W.I.P.
. Very, very creative, powerful and expressive. I just love your vocal arrangement and treatments. Particulary the Backup vox ... you rock, my friend!
Superb singing with great backing female vox!! love the strumming and the strings add so much--great to hear the Bard Bros again!!
Love this song. Great lyrics to a lovely, memorable melody. Simple and totally effective arrangement. Brought to mind the songwriting skills of 'Crowded house' but also sounding fresh and original.
Cheers

Very nice arangement5 mate...
Drum and stick,acoustic and voice...
Yep,so working!
You have a top notch voice, strong, confident and warm.
The gentle keys creeping were also a nice addition to the soundscape, not introduced too early or abruptly either, kept the spell beautifuly.
Loved the lyrics as well.
Star for me was the vocal.
Excellent.
Nigel.
Ah, it's been a good week. Both Shyonen and the Bard Brothers have found their way here. Lovely track, Damian. I can picture myself in a club listening to this and no one saying a word.....just captivated by the musical spell. Lovely progressions through the song and vocals, as always really great. Loved the addition of the female backing vocals. Personally, I'd leave the strings out. But that's just my view. I think the melody and the progressions stand up for themselves. Great to be sharing a site with you again.
Cheers
Brian
Clear and clean. Plenty of emotion as well. I love this kind of straight-up lyric poetry - set in solid clean acoustic guitar.
If I did anything different, ( and believe me, it's great as is) it would be to add a wee bit more reverb to your lovely back-up vocals ( and maybe the strings too) 'twould make her echo riffs feel more a memory of her...rather than a duet.
Lead vocal is very well recorded btw. good levels, ez to understand, just very good work. Your mix is well balanced too.
Instrumentation is superb. Nice song really and the ending is cool.
I really enjoyed this song. Music is about emotion and this song has plenty!
This is a pretty cool song. It is a very minimalist recording. I liked the string part - I wished it was louder and then faded as the vocal came back in. I was really impressed with the vocal sound. As soon as I heard this I started hearing all kinds of stuff on top of it but it stayed very bare which gave it a feeling of intimacy. Looking forward to you guys posting more.
The masters of minimal production are back , nice track , great to hear you guys again , love the string/ keys part and the backing vocals are fantastic , I hear some other voice I have not heard before , who is that ? great sound .
cheers

Hi BardBro Damian! Welcome to IMS! I'm glad you found your way here.
Nice mellow song and the guitar sounds great as do the vox. You've got a very full, clear sound with just vox, drums, and acoustic guitar.
Well done!
Farrell
I tend to judge something on how it sounds live, and I can see this performance as exactly that. cracking number, really enjoyed it well done
I'm guiloty of somwtimes putting too much in a song, when less would have been best. This is a good example of less is more. The sparsity of the instrumentation means there's nothing to clutter the vocals and lyrics.
Great song, great arrangement and production. Just a super track from beginning to end.
Paul
this song is wide open. vocals are very good and love the harmonies. the mix is clean. very nice tune.
welcome to iMS!
Love the haunting laid back melody. The acoustic guitar works really well and I loved the main and backing vocal harmonies. The lyrics engaged me immediately. A beautiful well crafted song.
