Hi Lex...
Petty, The Byrds...both heavily influenced by Dylan. The twelve string sound I hear at times is where I think I hear the Byrds influence...but this song has a 60's feel to it. The vocals are too wet for my tastes...the effects make the lyrics a bit difficult o make out...and your lyrics are always great...so maybe an adjustment might help. very "accessible" music though...I instantly felt myself digging this one!

To me this is very Tom Petty like. I thought the music was solid and the playing very good. I have to be honest and say I do not like the vocals, the singing style is fine and the effort is there I just think the song would be much better with a good singer.
i can hear a little Byrds guitar in parts of this. i like the way the bass carries the song in places, then comes back to the full band. good changes and a fine sound.
