I like this spacey and progressive appraoch. A contemporary creatiive enhancement of what was once concidered experimental.

Dark and heavy — I really dig the contrast between the lyric and the overall feel of the track. It hits that sweet spot where tension and emotion meet.

A very sweet & lovely song
Love the "Vocals"
Sweet moments always hurt the most and yet bring beautiful memories when time are bad. They said "Time will heal all wounds" but in actual fact, it is "The wounds that sealed the heart and let the pain goes away". Thanks for sharing such delicacy.
How the heck have I missed this one. Wonderful piece of songwriting. The verses really set the scene and the bridges to the chorus are just right setting us up for the big melodic hook. Beautiful arrangement and superb vocals. Classic writing Mel and Gavin. Beautiful singing, Lauren.
Cheers

I really like this song. Great arrangement, sound, production, narrative story and delivery. Vocals suit the mood, expressive/soulful, without crossing too much over into country - thus reminding me a bit of Maria McKee. Nice.
Wonderful sound and writing. Vox fits just right, lovely tune. William - That Never Was
Great song with sweetness and clarity. Perfect the way it is. It would be interesting to hear a country-like production of it as well. It has that kind of commercial appeal. Good one.
Great song, you really know how to turn a lyric.I loved the slide and vocal!
Great lyrics and vocals on this song. I also liked the arrangements of the music. Nice rich vocal harmonies on the hook. Very professional sounding production all the way through. Much Respect! Stoneman

Mel, This certainly sounds like a hit song to me. The singer is beautiful and all the instrument performances are just as beautiful. Your lyrics guide this song on a course that is well structured and provides a great hook for the song to swing around and take another turn. Excellent work on all accounts. -Matthew

Mel, out of the songs I've heard this week on Mixposure, there are two I really like. "No More Chances" is one of them. A very melodic piece of music and has the quality of becoming a country hit, no doubt. Just keep your songs coming, you ahev one more fan here.
By the way, the other nice song is Ian Rushton's "A Silent Slap of Time". Cheers.
Excellent song! It's definitely in the hit parade category! Great lyric Melsi that's fitted to a great song!

Well, it is refreshing to find here that there is one 0person who knows the aspects of truly turning a day into a song. "No More Chances" shows the art of actual "songwriting". Simple, straight, and to the point lyrics. Mel, I must say, it is a wonder that you have not hit commercial country radio with this one. SUPERB WORK by all involved.

There is SO many ways to relate (lyrics) with music...and in this case I believe that Gavin & Lauren did a great job...the structure in the chorus...ya! thats just SO proper !
I glad you found the words a home in this composition. it's very good. congrates to you Mel.

You can never really know you have a song on paper, but when the words meet the music, there's no doubt - it's either a song or merely a collision of words and music. "No More Chances" is a song that stands right there with the best around. It's a wonderful start to your new recording career, and I wish you much success!
Oh, Loren has a fine voice, singing out your great lyrics with soul and meaning...Lovely music..Very cool..
Peace n love Mags
Mel.............your lyrics are beautiful....great work. It's great to hear your music come to life....

This is a really nice piece of writing and performance. I really like the melody and chord progressions. Very catchy hook and you've got the spotlights shining on it by an excellent bridge and the use of harmonies. Love the vocals and harmonies and the backing is excellent as well. Nicely understated backing track which allows the quality of the vocals and the lyrics to shine through. Lovely piece of work.

Hi Mel
I feel so small having heard this.
So simple and straight forward sounding, but it just feels like magic from the first chorus out.
And I imagine it will just keep getting better time after time after time.

Let me join the crowd and congradulate you on this excellent song. Very professional sounding, the music was perfect to spotlight the excellent vocals. Lyrics and voice went well together also, it would be easy to get too heavy. Hope to hear lots more like this!
All the best,
