Verse 1 Fog’s crawlin’ down the alley, Moon’s hangin’ like a broken grin. Something whispers in the shadows, Sayin’ “Boy, you shouldn’t be here again.” Cold wind tugs my jacket, Like a ghost that wants me near — Every step I take gets louder, Like the dark is drawin’ near.

Chorus Get me out of this night, Before the shadows start to bite. There’s somethin’ movin’ in the corners Where the dead don’t need the light. Get me out of this night — I feel the fear behind my spine. If I don’t run right now, I ain’t makin’ it out alive.

Verse 2 Streetlamp flickers like it’s dyin’, Paintin’ monsters on the wall. I hear footsteps right behind me, But there ain’t no one there at all. A black cat crosses slowly, Eyes glowin’ like a curse — And every heartbeat in my chest Starts drummin’ like it’s gettin’ worse.

Bridge Doors slam shut without a warning, Windows rattle in the wind. Something laughs inside the darkness Like it’s waitin’ to pull me in.

Final Chorus Get me out of this night, Before the shadows start to bite. I see figures in the distance Where the moon won’t shine its light. Get me out of this night — I’m runnin’ fast, I’m runnin’ blind. If I don’t break free now, I ain’t makin’ it out this time.

A few years ago a Mixsposure DJ had a Halloween song writing contest.   It was fun.   I don't think he is around anymore but I still remember putting forth a song called The Visitor.   So, thinking about that I wrote this today.  Happy Halloween!!!
