Bio - skills, instruments played, experience, goals Born in Sardinia (Italy ),Sceldra began to sing at the age of five by joining the church choir in her home town, eventually being the lead vocalist throughout her early teens. That's how Sceldra started earning her experience, listening and singing the most melodic, non classical songs she could handle: as a teen-ager her remarkable range allowed her to invest everything from British Pop to Southern Soul, with nuance and grit. As a daughter of a multi talented self-taught musician father,a drummer in a big band back in the 60's and 70's,her constant search for personal expression and her passion for music and singing naturally made her move into high, easy R&B dance tunes, like Deniece Williams or Donna Summer's disco hits in the early 80's.Surely ev'rything worked from the very beginning thanks to a strong interest for the foreign languages...She also learned to speak, write and sing in French,Portuguese and Spanish as well as English. Sceldra initially started writing poetry which gradually mutated into her very first songs.Even if in her mind she chose high tunes because they sat better in her range, she pushed up the challenge with some jazzy tunes ( had sung Jazz and Swing before becoming a Pop singer ),selecting songs starting with a low range, such as Anita Baker's "Been so long".Ultimately,by working her voice from both ends -top down and bottom up- she moved on to midrange R&B ballads, adding gradually power to the middle voice. So she cracked the tough stuff:Patty La Belle,Aretha Franklin,Michael Jackson,Whytney Houston,The Pointer Sisters,EW&F,Anita Baker,Chaka Khan,Tina Turner,Dusty Springfield,James Brown,Al Jarreau,George Benson,Michael McDonald,Ashford&Simpson!!!!An endless list of great artists decorated her life!In a very few years Sceldra had her own sound:it was a style heavily influenced by dozens of artists, but a duplicate of none. After earning her Chemistry Degree in her early twenties, she then decided not to continue with studies and tried to pursue a career as a singer, performing live in small clubs and discoteques. Sceldra also had many collaborations with local and national bands, touring live all over Italy and abroad, working in recording studios as a back-ground vocalist and vocal arranger. Sceldra moved to London in 1993,where she has lived for ten years, performing and gigging live in restaurants, clubs, pubs, private parties, live events and holiday villages, from the "Center Parcs" holiday resorts in Sherwood and Suffolk (East England) to the "High Rocks" in Kent, always receiving positive consent from my audience. " Something's coming soon " is the title of Sceldra 's very first solo project recorded in London, produced by renowned keyboardist - composer Pietro Fara and Sceldra. The album is touched by the hand of soft rock, pop, soul and R&B,all united under the lyrical theme of love ad romance.Mixing beautiful melodies with a host of electronic pop and soul samples and original vocal tracks,it results in a unique and atmospheric album that captures her velvety and passionate voice. Sceldra is currently working hard to her second album. It is full of lush arrangements from contemporary Pop-Rock to soulful R&B ballads, remaining faithful to Sceldra's "tried and tested formula",introducing a more electronic and vibrating sound and rhythmic feel into her already eclectic list of influences, such as Simply Red,EW&F,Anita Baker,George Michael,Michael Jackson,Sade,to name a few..... Goals :Living "on the road",working tirelessly and energically I learned to improve and develop my number as a performing artist, and my solo project “ SOMETHING'S COMING SOON” perfectly epitomize my essence: as a lyricist all of my songs are a poetic expression of my real life experiences. My goal is to reach a massive numbers of listeners ,getting up on the stage, doing concerts, touring, and still continuing recording my own new material.
