Song Lyrics
Come Alive
with rock and bone… I build myself to stand alone… ready
to fill my pride… I learn to hunt in the tiger’s eye… steady
in painted face… transform...
with rock and bone… I build myself to stand alone… ready
to fill my pride… I learn to hunt in the tiger’s eye… steady
in painted face… transform the self to another place
where no one knows… the things i see… what comes and goes
why the light keeps on shining inside me… i cannot yet explain
who put me here… to fight or flight in the face of fear… eddy
might I be odd….to stand up straight as a lightning rod… allay
a fact surreal … the stage is set in a quantum field
still the light keeps on shinning inside me…. I cannot quite explain
what I became…
bring the curtain down… pass the hat around… when the answer is found and come alive
tell your band renowned… float in colored sound… kick your feet off the ground and come alive
you’re the artisan… and the time has come… you can do it my son… just come alive
you are second to none… you’re the integer one… and the journeys just begun so stand at ease
now if you please… tao entropy
think o one day
sing la tee da
never tell a man though
chic sha la la
anyway you want to
so many ways tell me with your eyes
know ya by your neck ties
though day to day… doubted i… lover innuendo
so prodded I spilled a billion pieces... then sublimated loaded in my mind
saw you in the window
stop… validate… gravitate sullied and aggrandized
seed… levitate all you get is one try
splagchnizomai crying at your feet
this day… I come… alive

Great cool stuff guys! Starts out with a James Bond feel and jumps into a great vortex of prog bad-assery!

Incredible musicianship. As always with TCP I am drawn from one instrument/vocal to another...I think, "that's my favorite lead part" only to soon think "know this lead is better". i.e I love that organ section in the middle. Henry, your lyrics carry a familiar theme which never tires of being told. Wonderful work again folks... you are artists as individuals and form an amazing whole when joined.

Wow...well damn! On behalf of the band thank you SO much for these very kind reviews. We had an awful lot of fun with this song and maybe that shows?

Blake, Jack, Henry, Glen and Tom you are fantastic musicians. This track is The Moody Blues, Yes, Genesis and King Crimson all rolled into one. What a wonderful piece of music this is. The mellotron is well placed and the Hammond is superb. Jack, the drums are superb as well as the lead guitar. In fact those underlying rhythm riffs are spot on and the bass flowing perfectly with the drums is excellent. You guys just flat out jam. What a pleasure to hear. If there ever is a candidate for artist of the year on Mix it is TCP.
Blake if this song is on the fence for your next project then I can't wait to hear what knocks it down the list.
