today i’m number one i get my way and have my say… this is bliss i’m a favorite son
just because of the world that i’m in i’m but a common man who lives with a grin despite myself i kind of like it here don’t pull me down from the stratosphere don’t make me change… sage! sage!
who cares if i come down a guru dev …my soul's a slave it’s a mess if you look around
then because there’s some trouble i’m in i won’t be living in this bubble again to fill the emptiness between my ears i think i’ll levitate another beer don’t make me change
just because and the waythat i am you got me conjugating out on a limb it’s all electric in the astral sphere don’t make me change cause i like it here don’t make me sage
i know i’m ready… and change is what men do… no denying… no back sliding… but to myself I must be true… sage!

This fairly straight-up rocker is a remake of Jack's riff-based original tune. Sticking with his foundational drum and guitar work, the song evolved into a fun but rousing diversion. Not fully mastered.

Blake Tobias - keyboards, bass

Big thanks to all for spinning this one and providing some great support... to me, Jack and Blake and the overall TCP endeavor. Can never take for granted the opportunity to create with these talented dudes and have a place to share it with some discerning artists. Rock on ...eh!

I always look forward a new TCP tune and have come to expect nothing but great things from you guys. This piece is no exception. It is filled with raw power and a slightly different approach (which is always a good thing:). Agree with Bri, this tunes begs to be cranked and I am more than happy to oblige. Bravo Blake, Jack and Henry !!!!!

Aww shit!... this toon is just great!! I miss Henry's distictive voice.. i reconize it in a heartbeat. Combined with the likes of blake/ jack/ hard-rawk attack...this just comes off with an intensity output that demands for the volume control to be jacked up full tilt.
It has a current egde to it as a composition, and a different approch lyric-wise, which in my books, goes straight to my fav's list.
Great to see you musokatts together doing what ya love.

Great opening riffing and atonal touches - also like the rhythmic changes - great overall sounds. harking back to various retro styles but very fresh nevertheless. ftlpope

I love this direction guys. A little more guitar driving with fantastic vocals. Great bass at around 2:00. Almost walks it for a bit. Power TCP.....I like it!

Great work TCP! Lot's of drive in every track. Jack is smokin' on the guitar and Blake's bass is thundering! Excellent vocals Henry.....I especially liked all the harmonies you added. TCP shakes the house with this one!

Great Rocking track! Gotta love the solid foundation, but it's all the quirks you guys bring to the table that make it so unique. Vocals are solid, drums and bass are heavy as @#%! and Jack's guitar is a monster! Love it guys!!!
06/12/10 11:04:18PM @tcp:
Gotta thank my comrades. Lots of fun getting back into gear. This was a real nice diversion based on Jack's infectious riff and leads, evolved as more thoughts were added. Henry brought in new life with some great main and harmony vocals. Proud to be playing with ya both! ..B

TCP is a progressive band that met right here on Mixposure late in 2007. The spontaneous collaborations which first took place were not only rewarding, but quite unlikely without Mixposure as the key connection point for us. We consider it a success story.
Formed early in 2008, TCP began an effort to create compelling progressive rock drawing on all eras of this phenomenal brand of music. After realizing the right elements were in place, a creative chemistry began in the ensuing months that culminated in the completion of our first album, The Way , early in February 2009. This resulted in signing with 10T Records who released the album in May 2009.
Once out of musical hibernation over the summer of 2009, we began the follow-up album, Fantastic Dreamer , putting on the final touches in February, 2011 . Both albums are readily available at many popular online stores (e.g. Amazon, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble) and download sites (e.g. iTunes, Napster, eMusic) in many countries. Music reviews are here .
Henry narrated our Center Stage presentation on Mike K's show this November 13, 2010. It previewed some of the material on Fantastic Dreamer . If you didn't catch it, you can listen here to this segment of the show.
Thanks for listening!
One pleasure of putting songs on Mixpo is to see how people react to them. If you have any thoughts, please let us know on the song's page. We return the favor of musician comments by listening and commenting on your material.
