Reliable Source Entertainment has became a hip hop promotion powerhouse in the last year. Nightclubs in Cincinnati, Louisville, as well as our fans in Lexington and abroad, have welcomed us with open arms in every city we have performed in, and promoters are more than eager to continue the lasting relationship that has given us this great reputation we so proudly wear today. In this brief overview, you will be able to take a closer look into one of our future superstar artists, Tha YG. RSE’s mission for our talented artist is to further his career by adding to his list of musical accomplishments, add more cities to his list of venue performances, and excel his exposure through larger avenues including radio, t.v., and the internet. Welcome to Lexington, Kentucky, home of the prestigious Kentucky Wildcats, the inviting landmark of Keeneland and yes, the prestigious and undeniable talent of Tha YG. Hailed as one of the most versatile and upcoming artists in the city, this young gentleman is no stranger to the stage. While storming a wide variety of underground hip hop clubs and local nightspots in and throughout the region (Lex, Lou, Cin, and Tenn. to name a few), Tha YG, also the “Young Gentleman”, exposes fans and listeners to intricate wordplay and impressive technique over original and industry beats from a vast range of genres, proving his powerful and persisting marketability in the world of rap. Alongside these great qualities, Tha YG has accomplished having a boastfully voted #2 best song on Ourstage.com called “Outside the Club,” featuring Neoski. His talented city-wide wonder “Freak out Tates Creek,” featuring Sonny So, was recently featured on KYMP Kamp’s own popular DJ Testarosa: Ridin Dirty 5 mixtape, along with Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx and a cast of other celebrities. Tha YG has also worked with a cast of some of the region’s hottest artists and producers, including KYMP Award winner Young L.O.R.D, who co-created the ever popular “Eyez on me,” featuring Young L.O.R.D. His many performances in Cincinnati were also promoted and advertised by Khadijah (Hustle Honey Entertainment), who recently won the Ohio Hip Hop Awards, as well as having many performances with KYMP Award nominee Blayze 1, a long time friend. Tha YG was also recognized for being part of one of the biggest promoted shows in Richmond, The Just Say F*ck It: Back-to-school bash, which was also hosted by DJ Testarosa, and was sponsored by Reliable Source Entertainment, Planet X, Jack Daniel’s, 107.9 The Beat and Urban Legacy Clothing, not to mention a list of other underground promoters around the region and on the internet. After performing at The Blackout Affair, a hiphop showcase held in Lexington, KY (also sponsored by Reliable Source Entertainment), it was boasted as being one of his best underground hiphop events this “Wildcat City” has witnessed in almost a year, drawing over 20 different artists/groups from Lexington and around the region, as well as bringing in a highly over-crowding attendance by city law. Tha YG has also created a demand for collaboration tracks with up-coming artists throughout the city and region, including Smurf Durrt, 3WZ, Slim Beats, T-War and a long cast of highly talented artists. This versatile artist has also produced the smash hit “F*ck the Police,” for Mr. Bush, a popular artist well known and recognized throughout the Alabama/Miss./Georgia area. As one of Lexington’s most astonishing rap pioneers, Tha YG insists his ability to successfully deliver catchy and provocative lyrics over any style of beat. These powerful attributes draw listeners to expect Tha YG’s debut mix tape, Tha Johnny Touch Mix tape, vo.1, which will be completed and released in late 2009. As co-founder and producer of Reliable Source Entertainment, it didn’t take long for him to create the kind of buzz he proudly owns today in local hip hop. More than eager to network and collaborate with artists from many genres, he can be contacted on more than 20 different websites including Myspace, Facebook and YouTube.
