Within the hour, My Father, home for lunch, sat beside me on the couch&nbsp;with the body of a D-18 martin pressed against the blankets i was wrapped in... and played for me.&nbsp;Music from a guitar is quite literally the first sound in my life. By age 3, I had taken to a cheap little Gibson flat top,&nbsp;(which I eventually destroyed), tuned to E-cross tune and i used a pocket knife to bar the chords, while my fingers&nbsp;were too small.
