Young Manics are a St. John's, Newfoundland based alternative rock band formed in 2008. The band consists of Aaron Hickey (vocals/guitar), James Greene (guitar), Pete Collins (bass), and Andrew Small (drums). The band has been playing St. John's bars for 5 years and recently released their debut album "Solidarity Songs" which has garnered tremendous critical acclaim for an independent, self produced album. National music magazine, Rokline says of the album "The newly released debut album Solidarity Songs from YOUNG MANICS is nothing short of a stellar achievement for this alternative rock band from St. John's, Newfoundland" and goes on to say "These guys are qualified to be rock stars, and by every measure of the rock & roll handbook standards & practices they should be.The songs seethe with punchy, earnest intensity and flow with intricate, melodic layering to create tone, delivering an interesting array of stylistically engaging rock songs that can be listened to repeatedly".
