Seriously, this is one hot piece of music...Like it lots, infact i`m gonna play it again..
Very smooth playing in a superbly produced song. Your guitar playing is very understated with a great tone. Reminds me a little of Steely Dan/Walter Becker in places but the difference is I prefer this
--Paul
Excellent! Smooth vocals... sweet guitar tones! Love that neck PU tone in the lead sections.... spot on performance and production!
i think there is something about the feel of this tune that will make me listen to it again... and this is not normally what i would be looking for to listen to.
the mix is pretty fine here... the playing is fantastic... very smooth... this is great stuff
thanks
Wow when i clicked on the picture on the front page i had no idea i was in for such a treat. this is a wonderful track, very tasty, reminds me of little feet the way the guitars sound, fantastic track.
Terry
catchy ditty here with the vox and the lead guitar is right in context with song--beautiful tone and phrasing!! dig it big time--vibe is terrific--always look for that vibe--ya got it!!
Alright Chrickon. This is one great piece of work. You have such fabulous performance skills AND compositional skills. And you SING!!!!
I'm totally impressed! And tasty tasty guitar. Great.
Chrickon...
If I wasn't already a fan,I think this song would definately make me one...
I heard this on Nexus radio, and made a mental note to drop by.
I was completely taken by the whole song,I ermember mentioning to you that beautiful slide.
One of my fav slide guitarists is Joe Walsh, and something about your tone, and how you played it.....
Man,anyways,beautiful.
The whole song works, top to bottom, and IMHO one of the best entrants into the compotition.
It's radio ready,it's got a vibe that doesn't quit and it hooks you on listen 1.
Damn excellent song,AND,I am about to check to see if you have allowed download,if you have, this is going on the MP3 player to accompany me on my travels.
Truly excellent mate
Nigel.
guitar playing as always is a pleasure to the ears. sweet playing Christer. I love the layering you do.
Vocals? vocals? Damn man you sound great. Why are you not doing more??
Outstanding my friend!
No need to be gentle, you've got a great sounding voice and the harmonies are spot on and you're even doing acapella on your first vocal outing. Really great laid back feel. Exquisite guitar tone and phrasing and loved the elec piano. Delicious work.
Amazing...................!!!The smooth Christer groove, splendid backing tracks,as one would expect.....damn' the vocals were way too ssssssssssssssswwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !!
"De Swede" he can most definately croon to a tune.Really fabulous, a great listen and spin my friend. Super harmonies with an oustanding performance and production...Sorry, it took me so long to listen .....
amazing...........!!!!!!!
your Yankee bro
Good voice! Lot's of bluesy soul in this one with some cool guitars and a Rhodes piano to boot! Great song.
Farrell
Ok, I no longer understand why you've ever asked me for vocals.... when you can do this!
Very cool man. I always expect outstanding playing and compositions - but now I get great singing from you too? Go away dude, you're makin' me look bad ! (g)
Christer -- a very musical piece with a super melody and mix. The Steeley Dan comparisons are pretty accurate, too -- it's a sound I can listen to all night. Well done.
All I could think, while listening, last night, is......SMOOOOOOOTH!! CHRISTER!! You are One SMOOTH Player!! This is FANTASTIC........vox are GREAT!!!
This is a very good song, in all aspects, really enjoyed this one
Oooh - we get to hear you sing - great stuff man!! You've got a good voice. Nice melody in this song too, which is not suprising considering its you. Enjoyed very much.
Rob
LOVED THAT DONNY HATHAWAY RHODES INTRO.. a nice sexy bea and flow for the mr. elloquent guitar groove.. hard not to vote for this one.. I really like your vocals C.. just enough and not too much.. you got some soulful RnB in your voice brother.. it gets better and better as it goes on.. I AM DIGGING THIS.. yep.. got a vote from me.. those jazzy harmonies make rapster proud man..
where do we vote then?.. great stuff C..
Nice, smooth groove on this one. I love the sound of the guitars. Great soulful stuff
Wow, just enough vocals to work the hook! Excellent, and I wouldn't expect anything else.
I really enjoyed this!
I hear the Steely Dan but Joe Jackson also jumped into my mind. The mix is tight and all the instruments flow and the lead guitar melody working as a verse just makes my imagination work. I love the rhythm guitar work in this. I hear subtle changes that add up to a really good performance.
yes...the roades intro...Steely Dan flavour...SO smooth. Would love to hear you sing alot more!... you have it going on!
Great SSTM entry!!
I have to agree with Brian, This has a fabulous "Steely Dan" flavour to it...Love the vox...Very impressive...Great laid back musical bed...Wonderful...Good luck...
Peace n Love
mags xx
when i saw the steely dan comment from bri something clicked.. that's it!.. but i haven't had enough so i'm back for another hit.. this is a big hit in my book christer.. love your harmonies.. and the guitar playing is sublime.. everytime..
Very cool tune. Kind of reminds me of Atlanta Rhythm Section. The guitar work is excellent-not overplayed, just well chosen notes. Very tasteful.
