<p>I uploaded a new song called Misty Rain. Please give it a listen and comment. Despite popular opinion, it's not easy to record a decent song on a P.O.S. computer and free software. This one was <span class="st">particulary difficult because it includes four part harmony....with myself. So please give it a listen and comment.</span></p>

Sad to see them go, but they are onto big things and we are all proud. I talked with Bobby (Bubba) about doing this for a while, and we finally got her down. I got the bass, acoustic tack and drums and Bobbys vocals. I dusted off the harmonica, brought out the old country Fender Strat and the pedal steel and the midi-guitar for the fiddle parts for this one. Always fun and challenging doing multiple instruments in a track.</span></strong></span></p><p><span style="font-size: small;"><strong><span style="color: #ffcc00;">A great Nashville sounding song about growing up on the great Tennessee River. Scotswolfe being my recording persona,my real name being Jim McMurtrey.I answer to Jim or Mac.
Started picking out one finger melodies on the piano by ear around age six.Still play by ear as I never seemed to had the patience to learn to read music.Many times I wished that I had forced myself to learn.Maybe someday yet...heh.
Began playing in bar blues/rock bands around Fort Worth in the late sixties.Moved to East Texas in the eighties where I played for several years with country/rock bands.Spent a few years in Oklahoma,then moved back to my hometown and settled here.
Finally I have the time to do what I enjoy most,composing ,creating and recording my music.
I only play keyboards,piano,organ,synths.Started using analog synths in the eighties.Now my studio consists of the bare necessities...a Casio WK-1800 as a standalone keyboard and midi controller,Computer and Mixcraft6,a very affordable and versatile recording program with virtual instruments to expand my virtual orchestra.
Stumbled across Mixposure a month back and now it feels like a second home.Friendly folks and awesome musicians here.I've posted my music on a couple of other sites,but none of them compare to Mixposure,not even close.Plan to be here for a long while .
<p>Greetings all!</p><p>I received a message from <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/Tribe_Pendragon/">David Pendrago</a>n about a project he has put together for Michael Foster from the band <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/AVALANCHE/">Avalanche</a>.</p><p>As some of you know, Michael is in the hospital and could use a little bit of support to get him back on track. Some of you may remember when we did the Songs for Rob (Grant) when he was in the hospital a few years back. This is the same thing. Healing through music!</p><p>Michael has been a huge part of Mixposure.com and I think this is a great time for us to step in and thank him for being a part of Mixposure and supporting us through the years. I am going to see if I can find the interview Mike K did with him and we can get that posted for everyone to listen to.</p><p>So please follow this post on Facebook - <a class="autourl" href="http://www.facebook.com/groups/524345730945574/?notif_t=group_r2j">http://www.facebook.com/groups/524345730945574/?notif_t=group_r2j</a> and post a link to your tune on Mixposure and hopefully some well wishes for Michael.
