I was overwhelmed by an e-mail I received last night. It was from Doctor C. He attached a song file and a note that touched me DEEPLY. I ONLY hope, he doesn't mind my bringing attention to this. Over the past few months, I have been getting to know Doctor C and Gary Carciello, thru our internet relationship. It has amazed me, how many personal things developed between us, as time went by. I've seen it written that NET FRIENDS are NOT POSSIBLE. I never felt that way. I have always been myself and feel, those I have gotten to know, do the same. Anyway, like everybody, I have problems in life......less to some and more to others. Regardless, I have to deal with my own life. Doctor C and Gary have always been supportive of my mood changes and anxiuosness. My wife and been facing many of life's challenges. BUT!! Thru it all, I have found Doc C and Gary to keep things positive.....and IMS has become a VERY nice relief for me. Doctor C wrote this song and he and Gary performed it. I listened and was brought to tears. I want to share this BEAUTIFUL Song, that they have done......and show the skeptics, THAT....The INTERNET TRUELY CAN CREATE GREAT FRIENDSHIPS THANK YOU, DOC and GARY! PLEASE, don't be upset, with my sharing this. As for my wife and I.....life goes on and we will deal, with the help from GREAT FRIENDS. Rob

"LOVE POWER" WAS ORIGINALLY WRITTEN FOR THE LOVE PARADE 2004, WHICH UNFORTUNATELY NEVER HAPPENED. BECAUSE THE LOVE PARADE WAS CANCELED, AND DIDN`T HAPPEN AGAIN UNTIL 2007, WITH MAJOR CHANGES IN THE STAFF THAT RUN IT. ANYWAY, THIS COULD HAVE BEEN A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH FOR ME IN THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC WORLD.
"LOVE POWER IS A VERY POWERFUL ELECTRONIC TRACK WITH A SWEET MELODY.

THE BASIC THEME OF THE SONG IS "LOVE POWER", THE STRONGEST POWER IN THE WORLD.

I am hoping someone might have a bright idea. I have been working on a song for the Same Title Madness promotion.

I have recorded the basic backing track onto my zoom 8 track and was planning to add vocals and guitar. I am still tinkering with the lyrics and decided to burn a CD of the backing track on the internal CD drive in the Zoom so I could play it back repeatedly and work on the lyrics. I've been having trouble with the CD playing of late, but it had always burnt okay. Yesterday I couldn't get it to open the CD door to remove the existing CD in there and to be blunt about it I think in my anger and frustration I may have stuffed the whole CD drive up.

I am wondering if anyone has any bright ideas as to how to get the recording off the Zoom in a form that will enable me to burn it into CD form. My computer recording system is pretty primitive. I use an early version of Cakewalk Home Studio that I use to program my drum and bass tracks.

I thought about setting up a new cakewalk audio file and playing the track on the Zoom with the output from the Zoom into the input of the audio interface for the computer. The Zoom has RCA outputs and I had an RCA to a 1/4" jack lead that I used to try that but it didn't seem to work.

If anyone's got any bright ideas I'd be grateful.

This tune started as a rhythm I came up with and was grooving on on my acoustic guitar. That part is the guitar part to the chorus. I really wanted to preserve that part so I did my best to avoid adding too many tracks and cluttering things up.

A song about choices that seemed good at the time but in hindsite were, well, doh.

I hope you give it a listen and enjoy it.

Doctor C presented this song to us.....and I was quite psyched up to do it......I liked the beat, I liked the reggae feel, and I liked the the theme. I have to say........THAT.......UI read the reviews before hearing the final mix. I had NO IDEA what Gary was going to do. WOW!! Doc did a superb job in his arrangement and his holding Gary to the one section. That created such an impact to me. The two of those guys....and now Farrell, who has joined us....are the BIGGEST Musical Gift, I've ever received. WOW!! I am HONORED!!!

Hi All! <br /><br />There was a conversation going on in the http://www.imusicscene.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=93 - Help Mix My Song Forum - so I thought I would send this out this morning. For those of you who may not know, we started this forum about 4 months ago. The idea behind it is simple. Not all of us are audio engineers. We wanted to have a place where people could upload their wav files and have someone else mix their song. <br /><br />In today&#39;s Internet Music world, you pretty much have to be a jack of all trades when it comes to home recording. Yes it is easy to lay down a couple of tracks and do a quick mix and post it up. However, we all know when listening to our favorite bands CD that there is so much more going on behind the scenes than just the bass, drums, keys, vocals and guitar tracks. Mixing and Mastering is an art form. There is a lot of high end audio equipment out there to help make a song sound pro. Not everyone has these tools or knows how to use them effectively. Just because someone hands you a scalpel, it does not make you a surgeon! So that is where this forum came from. <br /><br />In reading some of the reviews to songs out there, the one thing that is consistent is comments regarding the mix. Trust me I have been there before. I have listened to my &quot;best&quot; mix and then heard Floridamusic&#39;s mix and they sound like completely different songs. I guess this is the difference when someone who owned a recording studio mixes it versus someone who just started mixing in the last few years. <br /><br />We have had several people take advantage of this and they have been extremely impressed with the results. I am just surprised more people have not taken advantage of this. I do not know of any other site that is offering to mix people&#39;s songs for free. You may not like the new mix, but what do you have to lose? The only thing I can think of is the time it takes to upload the music. This process accomplishes a few things. The first being that you get to hear your song in a new light. The second being that the audio engineers get to work with different music and improve their skills. The third being that you have the ability to ask questions and learn how the mix was accomplished. <br /><br />We have retained our old site name and server so that people can upload all wav files to this address: http://www.guitaristworks.com/mix/ . The person mixing the song can retrieve the files from http://www.guitaristworks.com/mix/uploads/ . The directories get deleted regularly so grab the files asap. <br /><br />I wanted to remind people that this option is available. If you would like to experiment with a song, please post a message in the forum http://www.imusicscene.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=93. If everyone would do me a favor and if you do have a song remixed, post the original and the new version in your thread so people can hear the differences. You have nothing to lose.
