Principles

By dovidhalevi, 2007-12-31

I believe that music and musical talent are G-d given gifts and as such should be used for positive and healing purposes.

Music promoting drugs, lawlessness, immorality and such is a profanation of that talent and gift and is intolerable. Use of pornographic or otherwise compromised image of oneself or others to promote music puts a lie to that music.

Let us respect each other, keep things clean and cooperative. Let's keep on singing!

2008

2008

what is happening ?
I think Tay Zonday has found the answer : advertise : write songs no matter how goofy about specific products . " Chocolate rain " was this song written about Chocolate cherry Dr pepper ?
This kid could be a comic genius , the original video does not have the Dr pepper bottle in it , later on the next video is an obvious commercial . He also did a rap song about Turbo tax , not sure if the TURBO TAX guys have picked this one up . Anyway he must have got paid something for " Chocolate rain and the verzion commercial .
So should I spend the time performing and scrimping and saving for a broad cast quaility Cd that a may sell enough copies of to break even OR by a web camera and make really strange songs about products I like with awful lyrics that point to the virtues of " Shiner Bock beer ",
" Yukon jack whiskey ", " Martin tires " , Hot Pockets " and " Delimex chicken taquitos " ?

cheers 2008

New year. = new look = new songs....

G'day,
As the world starts to go into a new year I wanted to change my theme for the year and I like this theme with the blogs out front.

I use this site as a way for every one ie family and friendes etc,
to let them all know whats going on in my life , with my music etc.
So at least this way they can find my blogs straight away.
I think its cool :D

Also I'm going to delete alot of my old songs and keep the current 2 last songs up as I want to make way for the new songs.

I also want to thank every one who has supported me this year, its been a tough ride and lets hope 2008 is better for every one

Iif you want to download my songs just go into "<b>OUR SONGS<b> section.
Also check out "<b>OUR FANS<b>" .

"<i>There are some really cool and talented people out there :) <i>"

So thanks again every one. Stay safe, be good and keep on rock 'n' :)

New Kids on the Block

Hey everyone who's bored enough to click on this page! We're the Misfit Revolution! If you've ever been called a loser, dork, nerd, emo, dweeb, weird, or anything else like that, then our revolution is for you! We have all been called crap like that, which is why we banned together to make this group. (Uh, yeah, there's a group on Facebook called the Misfit Revolution we made which is what I'm talking about, not so much the band. You should join the group and help our revolution!) Join us, so all outcasts can unit within...

THE MISFIT REVOLUTION!

Note: I typed this up after drinking 3 things of Mt. Dew. Do join, but ignore that fact that it sounds really really lame.

I really want to clarify, the HUGE part that both Doctor C and Gary have in writing our material. I believe, I am credited as the "composer" of our songs, but without their input.......the songs would not be the same. Being the bass player and drum arranger is a natural combination. I can create the riffs used and send them a file of.....uh???....what sounds to me, like.....not much. The feel and sound that Doc creates with his orchestrations and chord usage, are all his perceptions of what I send him. What I hear when I get his samples back, is usually far from my thoughts, thus he has helped write the song. What Gary then adds, is usually even further away from my thoughts. I have to say this, because I feel we ALL write the songs....and I am not a sole composer. Because of the nice reviews we've received, I feel I owe Doc and Gary......a whole lot of credit. They have brightened my musical life immensily. THANK YOU ALL, SO MUCH FOR THE SUPPORT!!! Doctor C - Keyboards, orchestration, engineering, song arranging, mix, editing and keeps me in check and somewhat calm Gary - Lead guitars, song arranging and keeps me sparked up Rob - Bass, drum arranging, initial compositions, vocals, and occaisional other stuff, and begging these guys to keep working with me :D Rob
