Another symphonic heavy rock track. I was toying with Symphonic Orchestra, Dimension 4 and Omnisphere. Very realistic orchestra sounds, I just can't get over the qulaity of these programs. I combined it with some heavy guitar to make an epic sountrackesque tune. This one is called Horizon. I have to thank PlanetJazzBass for me to make these kinds of tracks possible. I hope you enjoy my nemesis. Comments of course are always most welcome ! Latin House & allround Dj on a growing worldwide network of radiostations.
His Dj name comes from his profession; Neon crafter and tubular glassblower (one of the 15 in The Netherlands) & electric
signmaker. He's a Dj of the 1st-generation.
Dj Neonglass made his first steps in mixing on age 14 (1977),before that he was a "talking Dj" (compared with a "radio Dj'', as
many Dj's where in that days) He was “working” with some friends every friday evening on a Drive-inn disco, called “Disco Skylab” in a youth centre called: “Openluchtschool” (O.L.S)”, in The Hague.
They also had an illegal F.M Radio stations called “Skylab Radio, Skyline Radio,Tempo Radio”. Then he saw in a local disco called
“De Marathon” the Dj mix two records together. Fortunately one of his friends knew more about mixing. He started mixing with 2 MARANTZ record players with pitch-control.Inspired by his discovery,he began to create customised pause button mixes on his big reeel taperecorder (later cassette) as he realised that certain records could be made more suitable for the dance floor, if they wen given a slight twist of extension. At the age of 16 he was asked to play at several Clubs as a guest Dj. Mixing was in that time very special and also all Clubs had "talking Dj's" in that time.
One of his friends he “worked” in the Drive-inn Disco with is now known as Atlantic Ocean a.k.a Dj Lex van Coeverden
(World Hit Single Waterfall & Waterfall 2009). In 1984 he stopped mixing, so he had time to found his own Neonsign- factory.
After 24 years not being mixing and Dj-ing, he took some Mixing lessons in youthcentre “BAZART” also located on the grounds of the former O.L.S, the place where it in 1977 all began. When he’s started his Mixing lessons,he noticed that there was a lot of
changed in the DJ equipment. He decided to quit mixing with vinyl and go for the new technological tools now like mixing with 2 CD players with pitchcontrol.
Nowerday's he's a Resident Dj @ several radio stations. All his Dj-Sets, are broadcasted for a growing network of radio stations in the U.S.A (L.A & N.Y), & worldwide.

Congratulations to Farrell Jackson and Buddrumming for having Mixposure's Song of the Week! Farrell and Buddrumming have been staples on Mixposure for some time and this is just a great tune. Check out the song below.

Bio:

Been learning and playing the guitar since I was a youngster. My training came from the countless hours I spent listening to those big black vinyl discs. Played in a few bands along the way and still play out solo now and then. Like many mid 60's era musicians, I would have to say my influences are the likes of: The Beatles, The Animals, The Stones, Cream, The Allman Bros., Steppenwolf, and CSNY are probably my biggest influences. I love great sounding acoustic guitars, mixed with tasteful electrics, melodic vocals, and harmonies thrown in. Equipment used: A couple of acoustics, some electrics, a couple of basses, some harmonicas, several amps, and my voice. I record to a Fostex VF160 DAW ( with several outboard pieces attached ) at my place, Jaxonville Studio. My music is acoustic rock guitar based but there are a lot of electric guitars in and about. Most all my songs begin life on the acoustic and grow from there. Music has been a very enjoyable part of my life and has allowed some very satisfying and personal expressions to come forward. Thanks for visiting and listening, Farrell Jackson.

hooyoosay released the single "My obsession", a fresh and innovative, catchy and intriguing approach to a rather obscure sixties Stones' track.

The recording blends a vintage pop-rock atmosphere with a contemporary dance-feel.

For the so-called b-side, they chose to do Naomi Neville's "Pain in my heart" as an intimate, melancholic, acoustic jazzy blues ballad.

hooyoosay's new single release is available in 2 different packages:

"My obsession" (disKcovermusic 445975 / UPC 885767078291),

and "My obsession" with "Pain in my heart" (disKcovermusic 445976 / UPC 0885014195108).

The accompanying video displays a series of silhouettes, occasionally emerging from an anonymous crowd.
http://welcome2cali.com

Name of Artist/Band and where are you from?

I go by the name of "Seriez" and I'm born and raised in the Inland Empire aka "I.E" in California, i can play the piano and drums.

How did you break into the music industry?

I haven't broke into the industry yet, but besides my musical talent as a gift, i got exposed more doing ground work and promoting with teams like "Massive" out the I.E., pushing "Black Wall-Street" (Blu Division), and staying under the wing of Jazzy Dee (Jazzy Management) getting mentored that were involved with music and sure enough i got into producing then rapping right after and the rest is history.....

Choose one adjective to describe your music style?

GLOBAL.....

Do you write your own songs? If so, what are your songs about and where do you draw your inspiration?

I write all my songs, i am an author, my songs are a variety of topics like: being fly, flashy to anthem records, hustling/grinding, songs for women, party joints and so on... my catalog is wide and it speaks for itself trust that.... I draw my inspiration from where i came from and where i want to be, my mother because of her strength and character and my daughter because i have plans for her.

What project are you currently promoting and is it available for purchase?

Right now I'm pushing and promoting my latest project "L.A.M.B.O Musik", twelve tracks written and produced by me too. It's up for purchase on Itunes, Emusic, Bandcamp, Reverbation.com, Rhapsody, Last.Fm and Amazon (U.S.,France, Germany, Japan)

Are you looking for an independent label deal or a major label deal?

All depends what a major offers, i definitely would consider it but i want control of me as an artist and my music lane because I'm a hands on person for real. I'm independent right now and I'm grinding so if it's my destiny then I'm with it too because we are own boss, company and brand.

How would you define the word "success"?
Achievement, Accomplishment, Happiness, Victory, Glory, Self-Determination

What is your biggest career embarrassment?

Biggest embarrassment would be performing in the middle of a song and stumbling my verse and drawing a blank to jump back on the verse i would say hahaha, crazy....

Most memorable moment in creating one of your records?

All my records are memorable because I'm really involved, but the one that stands out is "Global" at the moment, different style record that has a rock sound, edgy hook, with real electric guitar strings.

Who has been the most influential person in your music career?

I would say my brother Big Lee, he's my other eyes, ears and muscle. We talk everyday about things that we need to touch on, marketing, opportunities and strategizing ect, so we touch bases having "meeting of the minds" for the best outcome period.

Who is your celeb look-alike?

To me nobody, I'll let the world decide on that one, I love who i am.....

what was your first job?

First job was at a warehouse dealing with garage doors, fresh out of school looking to make money

What is your worst Fear?

Not being where i want to be consisting of a: leader, trail blazer, leaving a legacy and being a provider the way i see myself as.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Driving fast, I'm a hustler so i like to get to point A to point B when I'm out and about, do i feel guilty? Not sure because it's a rush too....

What artists would you love to work with?

Nas, Will.i.am, E-40, Akon, B.O.B, Wale, Yo Gotti, Meek Mills, Pitbull, 50 Cent and French Montana

Any advice or lessons learned in the music industry that you would like to share with other indie artists?

Make sure you copyright your music, get some good representation to help your situation grow, and have all paper work looked over thoroughly. Represent yourself to the best because people are watching you everyday, representation is everything so don't mess opportunities up.

What is the number one thing you hope people get out of your music?

Cant give you just one, two things would be "motivation" and "inspiration".

Where can people get in touch with you?

seriez909@gmail.com

Seriez909.com

Twitter: @seriez909

Facebook: Seriez909

seriez

about.me

Bandcamp: seriez

Facebook: seriezlambomusik
