Just random updates...

Hello everybody!!!   Just wanted to take the time to thank everyone for your love and support.  Your emails and comments are so uplifting, and inspiring me to keep pushing forward with this crazy musical endeavor.  Thanks to you, I’ve still been on the top 10 albums list on Soultracks.com with some of today’s hottest R&B artists like Maxwell and Ledisi.  Hopefully someone in the Grammy’s can see that and take it into consideration... Hooray for the underdog!!! Lol!   So on to gig news...   I’ll be a featured artist at Hallenbeck’s Cafe in North Hollywood on Friday, October 2nd in the “SongsAlive! Los Angeles” showcase.  There’s a flier attached if you want some more info.  I’ll be playing ALL originals, including songs you haven’t heard on the album...maybe a preview for album number 2?   Also... I’ll be playing at the Simi Valley Relay For Life at Royal High School on Saturday, October 10th starting at 10PM.  DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!!!  It will be the first time you will hear the songs from “Rattle the Walls” LIVE with a high energy, super-talented band comprised of some of the best young musicians in Southern California. Collaboration thanks from Melsi/UK Songwriting Contest

I wanted to congratulate and thank all the Mixposure musicians involved in my collaborations for the wonderful news regarding the UK Songwriting Contest. ELEVEN songs were Semi-Finalists, not bad considering there were 6,000 entrants! The songs were all entered in different catagories and a whisper away from being Finalists. I want to send a Melsi hug and cheers beers to Selftort, The Autumnleaf, Gina & Rick, Marijan, Dusty, Diego, Holley & Phil, Gavin, Papi and Les Kutsera, for your wonderful work and friendship. This hopefully goes a little way in making you all realise what a talent you truly have! xx (Hold onto your hats, after next year's contest we will all need sunglasses because the future will be so bright)!! LOL x

Live Vids and New Album

Hi Peeps. Just to let you know. I just uploaded two live videos for your perusal. Also, my second album, "The Game" will be available to download from iTunes, Napster, Amazon MP3 and from Amazon On Demand on CD from around 24th October. I've been getting some quite healthy airplay recently too on various stations. My first album "Words And Music" has also been heard on Spotify, the music streaming site and I'm also on general rotation on Jango Airplay. Back in July I had a great time playing at the Spratton Folk Festival and hope to be playing there again next year. So. Now onto writing songs for the next album. Love to all, Phil H

Review Crew...Well Sort of LOL

Hey Gang!Well the Review Crew idea stirred a lot of emotions in the past. As most of you know, we decided to scrap it. What we have decided to do is this. We have created a New Forum called <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=129&sid=09c4cac46018dec2ba7c759fe0b9eb80">Critics Pub</a>. Many of you may know <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/Steve_Gilmore_and_In_No_Sense/">Steve Gilmore</a> from Mixposure, SoundClick or other sites. He is probably the leading Music Reviewer on the internet! Steve has decided to start doing reviews on Mixposure. If you would like to be a Reviewer, please create a topic in the forum with your criteria. If you want your music reviewed by Steve or one of the other Reviewers, reply to them in their thread. DO NOT CREATE A NEW THREAD. The only new posts in that forum should be by the Reviewers. I think this format will meet with everyone's approval. These reviews wil obviously be a little more in-depth than the normal reviews. I will be updating the forum with a Rules Post as well. Thanks to Steve and all Critics!
