New Album release 'It's High Time'!

By Rick Lally, 2018-03-09
New Album release 'It's High Time'!

I am very happy to announce that I have released a new 12 song album titled 'It's High Time'.

I named the album after a song I wrote in 2014, which is also the title track. Another reason I titled the album as such is because, in a way, I've been working on this project since I was 13 years old.

The album includes the first song I ever wrote at age 13 titled 'Falcon Hill'. I also noticed that this album includes songs that I wrote at various times in my life. I don't necess arily know exactly what years I wrote each of them because the first time I applied for copyrights to any of my songs was in 1989.

This album includes songs with copyright dates from 1989 through 2017. As you can see it's high time for me to finish this album. I honestly couldn't tell you the amount of hours that I have put into this project except that in essence it's a lifetime of work!

Falcon Hill' is track number 8. I'm a Libra and I've always considered my lucky number to be 8 because it has the balance that a Libra strives for. I'm selling the 12 song album on my website and at BandCamp.com for $8.

It should will be in distribution by the end of March 2018, meaning you'll be able to find it at places like iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, etc.

Currently it's available for purchase/download at the following links:

If you are curious about the details of what an indie artist such as myself puts into releasing an album, please check out an article I wrote for Artistic Echoes. Artistic Echoes is and internet based magazine. See the link below:

I hope you'll take some time to give a listen and even consider purchasing a song or two. Maybe add it to your play list when it's available and share it with others.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about my new album release Cheers!

Congratulation to Bilbozo - Mixposure Artist of the Month

A huge congratulation to long time Mixposure.com artist Bilbozo for being the Artist of the Month.

Bio:

I started playing guitar when I was 16 with a love for world music, latin and rock. I try to do something in almost every genre to be as rounded a player as I can ! I have been playing in various local bands for about 15 years. When the digital recording age came along I built a home studio and began to learn recording, Acid Looping and combining those elements together to create grooves and compositions. I have a business and a family but I continue to be a weekend warrior playing in a Classic Rock Band for fun and fuel my passion to write grooves, soundtracks, jingle bites and ambient compositions. This is my Hidden Mission !

Looking For New Work

By louder, 2018-03-03
Looking For New Work

Still unsure how this blog/timeline works out but in for a penny.....

I graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire this summer and have been looking for opportunities to promote my band - The Perfect Storm.

We are a versatile group of very talented musicians that have enjoyed classical training but play a full range of dance, boogie, pop and disco groove tunes with some surprising highlights. Some might say we are just one of the many party & Function Bands available to play at weddings, corporate gigs and functions but we offer something very special - watch out for the show reel and see us in full SWING.

Just Another Party Band Looking for Work

Much of our work so far has come from local classified ads on Gumtree and the like but we are now considering taking the band to the next level and looking for work further afield .

Ideas for finding interesting gigs would be welcome.  Residencies at clubs and resorts spring to mind and it would be fantastic to get a cruise contract to literally play the decks.

If you have any experience of agencies that really do help bands get more work like this please message me - thanks.

Steven Wright

By WhereWolf, 2018-02-13

The Quotes of Steven Wright:
1 - I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
2 - Borrow money from pessimists -- they don't expect it back.
3 - Half the people you know are below average.
4 - 99% of lawyers give the rest a bad name.
5 - 82.7% of all statistics are made up on the spot.
6 - A conscience is what hurts when all your other parts feel so good.
7 - A clear conscience is usually the sign of a bad memory.
8 - If you want the rainbow, you got to put up with the rain.
9 - All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand.
10 - The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
11 - I almost had a psychic girlfriend, ..... But she left me before we met.
12 - OK, so what's the speed of dark?
13 - How do you tell when you're out of invisible ink?
14 - If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
15 - Depression is merely anger without enthusiasm.
16 - When everything is coming your way, you're in the wrong lane.
17 - Ambition is a poor excuse for not having enough sense to be lazy.
18 - Hard work pays off in the future; laziness pays off now.
19 - I intend to live forever ... So far, so good.
20 - If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?
21 - Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
22 - What happens if you get scared half to death twice?
23 - My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
24 - Why do psychics have to ask you for your name
25 - If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried.
26 - A conclusion is the place where you got tired of thinking.
27 - Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
28 - The hardness of the butter is proportional to the softness of the bread.
29 - To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research.
30 - The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.
31 - The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.
32 - The colder the x-ray table, the more of your body is required to be on it.
33 - Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.
34 - If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you.
35 - If your car could travel at the speed of light, would your headlights work?

Don't waste your time trying to provide people with proof of deceit, in order to keep their love, win their love or salvage their respect for you. The truth is this: If they care they will go out of their way to learn the truth. If they don't then they really don't value you as a human being. The moment you have to sell people on who you are is the moment you let yourself believe that every good thing you have ever done or accomplished was invisible to the world. And, it is not!

She will run wild with you, beside you with everystep but let me tell you something about women who run with wolves, their fierce hearts dont settle between walls and their instinct is stronger than upbringing. Love her wild or leave her there. !!
