Brand New Song, and Why this song: I KNOW (Kit Mann, Ft David C Deal) . Hey Everybody this is my first blog, hope I don't mess it up. I was advised I should post a blog about my new song I KNOW (Kit Mann, Ft David C. Deal), so I am going to try and explain why this song. I was a Soldier, Police Officer/Deputy Sheriff, an EMT on three Voluntary Ambulance Services. For So man years, I missed so much. I was so focused in doing the job and doing it the right way. So when someone was at the worst moment of their life, They could look up, see me and know they were safe. Because of this dedication my family suffered, A Lot!!! Besides my regular duties I was also on the SICOG Drug Task Force. Breaking it down, I missed so so so much of the ups and downs of raising a family with two son's Chris and Mike Mann. I did however coached baseball, taught classes at the schools, Boy Scout Leader, but again in many ways this also took away from my boys. I have been writing music since I was 16 years old. After I became disabled (V.A. had to remove my sternum) I really got into focusing on recording my music. I have released my first CD A CRY FOR HELP, and I have 14 songs now recorded for my next CD Guitar Mann, when ever that gets done I Know is a song I had wrote for my two son's. I couldn't write lyrics about shootings, crime and ect., so I wrote the song from the point of a traveling salesman. BUT!!!! All of a sudden I woke up one day and my left hand, the fingers were numb. I went to the V.A. and they found I had extream damage to the C5-C6 Vetebre in my neck. I could no longer play guitar. I couldn't feel the strings, I couldn't get my fingers to do what I wanted them to do either, so I stopped!! For over a year I didn't sing, because I couldn't play. I always had a guitar by me at all times, and all I could do was look at it. Then one day listening to mix radio in the chat room I had a conversation with David C. Deal. I explained to him that I had a song and i just sent him the lyrics for the Chorus. His said this is great it wil really bring tears to the chat room. Now David knew about my hand problem and I told him I would practice and see if I can get the chords played right. I worked and worked and worked. I was having serious problems getting the chords picked correctly, and I didn't want to change the chords to cowboy chords. I finally got a rough recording done of the song and sent it to Doc Deal. He loved it and couldn't wait to get working on it. I took a while but I did record a faily clean guitar track, sent to Doc and he did his magic...Wow. Then I recorded the lyrics. I know i have a growl in my voice but singing the lyrics almost brought me to tears. I didn't know if Doc Deal could work with the lyrics but again he worked hard on it and we had a guitar track and a vocal track. Doc Deal then took the song and put together some of the finest keyboard work I have listened to. At the first note of his at the start of the song before my guitar comes in, I had chills just wondering what was ahead. Then I cried, and I cried. Sorry about all the crying but thats what I did. Doc David C. Deal with his playing, mixing mastering, took a song that meant so much to me and made it happen. With out Doc Deal this song would still just be words on paper. Well I hope I didn't screw this up too much. I am going to attach the link to the song. I have a motto for my music; If I can touch one person with one song then my job is done, and I'm happy. Then I try and do it again. In this case, with this song I just want to touch two people my son's Chris and Mike... I love you both so much. I hope you enjoy the song.

So just what can you do in a home studio? What is it, exactly, that you will be able to do once you have your studio set up? Even if you have no experience in this, you'll find that your natural talent and years of listening to wellproduced music have given you more tools than you thought you had. It's all about listening.
Recording
The most obvious thing you can do in a home studio is to record sound onto tape or disk. Whether you are learning to use microphones effectively or just plugging a keyboard in, recording covers the whole spectrum of capturing sound. For those who have never recorded before, the process can be very rewarding. Having the ability to come home from work and spend a few hours in your studio creating music is very freeing, and the icing on the cake is that you have total control. Whether you are making an elaborate multitrack masterpiece or simply singing and playing guitar, you need to know how to get a good sound. This is where you learn the basics of engineering: setting levels, choosing and placing the correct microphones for the best sound, and dealing with mixing. For the keyboard players out there, using MIDI (an electronic standard used for the transmission of digital music) is an important part of the recording process. All these elements fall under the umbrella of recording.
Mixing
Mixing is generally done after the initial recording sessions. Mixing is the art of setting the loudness and sound color of each instrument that you record. Mixing is a learned art, and like any other skill, it takes practice. Using faders to control the volume of tracks helps the instruments sound more cohesive and balanced. Equalization, which we will refer to as EQ, is the boosting or lowering of certain frequencies. EQ can transform a muddy bass into a clear sound, or turn a thin, lifeless guitar into a round, warm sound.
Effects are also a major component of mixing. Effects can help you achieve a more polished final sound. For instance, you can add reverb to give the illusion of having recorded in a large space or use compression to even out sudden changes in volume.
Editing
Editing can be considered cut, copy, paste, and whiteout for sound. In the world of editing you can cut a section and re-record it; you can go back and fix a note that sounds bad.
The most powerful editing options lie in the computer. Standalone, all-in-one recording units are capable of editing, but computer software takes it to a much higher level. Imagine that you are recording a song with a structure of chorus, solo, chorus. Suppose the choruses are exactly the same, and when you recorded the piece, the second chorus sounds better. Computer software gives you the ability to cut the first chorus and copy the second in its place. You don't even have to play repeat sections twice; you can just loop together small repeating bars of music. You can even click and drag sections of music around with your mouse. Did you decide after the fact that you want to record an introduction to your masterpiece? Just drag the original audio to the right, make room for the new, and paste it all together. This is just the tip of a very large iceberg…So now how do you get started? First, you've got to determine what your needs are.
This is my first collab ever on the web. I put "I Won't Lie I Need A Drink" up for collab, and Josepf Rodz graciously took pity on me and added his awesome guitar work to it. Considering what he had to work with, I think he's done great!
This song is a true story. I'd just finished a round at the "Bluebird Cafe" in Nashville. I walked out and was heading to my car, when I spotted a man standing on the street corner holding a sign up that read, "I Won't Lie, I Need A Drink". SMACK!!!! right upside my songwriter's brain!! I wrote half the song on my way back to Friendsville. The next day I finished it.
Not being an incredible artist, I'm very happy that someone of Joseph's talent picked up on this and added his own special guitar work to it.
Thank you Joseph, I'm proud to have the chance to work on music with you, and I hope we can work on more in the future!
Peace, Ron

Unlike some bands, they're on many mediums including MySpace, MTV and Rock Band. Favorite Music Influences Sead spoke exclusive to Media Pick and revealed his biggest influence, "It has to be Phil Spector because he is a complete musical genius and a brilliant producer." Phil Spector is mostly known for producing more than twenty five Top 40 hits in the 60s. He wrote songs for famous people such as John Lennon, George Harrison and The Righteous Brothers. Meanwhile the New Nobility band member would love to one day perform with Neil Young or U2, describing them both as talented musicians. He also told us the reason behind the band name, "Following a long break, I decided to name it this because of a Nietche's book". Thoughts and Hopes Despite some decent feedback, Sead is hopeful of pushing on, "It is very hard to break the walls from being unsigned to being signed. However I find it even more important to find an audience." New Nobility's strength is there movement in music and their drive to keep pushing on. They are also keen on improving their communication. In the coming months, it's hoped that the band could complete their new single Fly Over. HOPE
When it seems
that the only hope we have
is hope itself
then all we can do
is take a deep breath
and hope
that the hoping helps
