Devodale was a high school nickname. Since I was no longer in a band, I re-adopted the name for my solo, loop, and collab projects. I don't sound like Devo, but I do like them!
I am an active member of www.looperman.com community where I upload piano loops royalty free for the world to use as they wish. Here is a link to the newest creation using my piano loops.

History:
My mom bought me a Magnus organ with a play by numbers songbook. I learned 'Moon River' and played it for a school talent show in the 3rd grade. The applause I received set in motion my musical career.
I was in the school choir from the sixth grade. In high school, I was the only freshman to be allowed in the sophomore and higher class of Vocal Jazz, where we placed high scores of 1s and 2s in both the Reno Jazz and Portland Jazz Festival Competitions (1981-82)
Having several talented upperclassmen to draw upon, I taught myself how to play the piano during high school. The vice-principal and a school board member heard my talent, and teamed up to give me a piano.
Special thanks to my dad, who got me my 1st synthesizer; a Radio Shack Concertmate MG1. An all Moog built little wonder that I still have.
My first band at age 19 was the Tommy Atkins Band (1983-1986) from a small Northern California town. We made a video for MTV's Basement Tapes show (1985) and produced our own VINYL LP called Where Dreams Begin. It was a Top 40 cover band that also had originals as well. Based in Chico, Ca we toured in NorCal and Oregon. Ahhh 5 hour set lists in smoky barrooms.... The good ole times. We supported ourselves for almost two years on the bands sole income.
Our bass player Victor James has since gone on to produce his own fame as one of the duo from 'Fans Of Jimmy Century'
An electro band that has opened for Lady Gaga in Amsterdam, produced several albums, and much more.
After the bands demise I went on to a Santa Cruz, Ca. based progressive rock band called Spoiled Brat (1986-1995). Very 'Styx, Rush, Yes, Kansas' sounding originals with a few covers. After several 'retoolings' (members) the band disbanded.
Three of us went on to program/create a rock opera called 'Cyborg' Lots of time and energy spent. Creative differences (egotistical guitar player) ended that endeavor, but it strengthened my programming skills.
I have since gone on the write several originals to which I have collaborated on with several individuals from around the world via the internet.
I was an online DJ streaming indie music on a website called www.Mixposure.com on my show 'Devodale Fridays' and was in charge of programming the 24/7 streaming radio station there. (2009-2013)
I am currently in a band called Instinct. An all cover band playing classic and progressive rock music. We practice maybe once every two weeks or so.
