So back a few years ago when new members signed up we limited artists to 3 songs. In order to upload the remaining song, they had to complete 5 song reviews. After 24 hours they could then upload the remaining songs. When we revamped Mixposure we removed this code and just never put it back in. After some conversation, we decided to put it back in.
Why did we add this back in? Mixposure has always been a heavy song review site. That is the way it should be. We want to encourage artists to make more music and collaborate with other Mixposure musicians. In placing the limits back in, we hope that everyone will continue to reciprocate with reviews!
What is a song review? "Cool tune" is not a song review. I encourage artists to delete reviews like this. A song review should express what you feel and be longer that 4 words. Typical song reviews might explain why you like it or what could be changed to improve it. If you are a mastering guru, you might suggest some mixing tweaks.
What if I hate it? Many people hate the Beatles music and U2 and Apple just showed that not everyone likes U2 either. Let's face it, if we all liked the same music we would have one or two genres. BORING!! If you truly despise a song, I would suggest choosing another tune. If you want to review it, make it constructive and not personal. "Worst song ever", "This song blows" are not constructive. "Your chorus could be stronger and you should really tune your guitar before you record" might be a better start!

my suggestion would be to hit a few churches. Get the music finished and then bring it in and give it to the musical director.

Just an FYI - If you drop your music on any site and are not active on there, the chances of getting any feedback is low. Rosanna I looked at your page and you have not done any song reviews. Mixposure has always been a song review driven site. What that means is that I listen and comment on others music and they in turn listen and comment on mine. I go into the chat room and the DJ's see me in there and grab a song of mine and play it. You can click on the Radio Menu item and then Mixposure DJ's and send any of them a message with a link to your page.
We just made a major change a few months ago and made things a lot easier. Clicking the + button to add blogs, songs etc. or the cog wheel to edit and the trash can to delete. What I did not want to do was create a huge document that would intimidate the hell out of everyone. I will see if I can come up with something easier though.

Correct Farrell. We kind of followed the iTunes format. The DJ's however can download the entire track for airplay if you allow it.

When you first sign up on Mixposure, you have the option to use a social media site for one click login. However, if you were are existing Mixposure user who registered long before the social media option was available, here is what you need to do.
1. Do not click on the social media icons on the login page just yet!
2. Login to your account normally
3. On the Menu Bar, mouseover your name and click Account Settings
4. Click on the Networks Tab
5. Click on the Social Media Site You Would like to link with
6. When you come back to Mixposure, click the social media icon on the Login Page and you will now be logged in.
Mixposure DJ Download Button
FAQ and Help
You will notice on the Mixposure Create Song Form a new field called "DJ Download". This is a Mixposure DJ Friendly Song Download option. You will need to set the value to Yes or No. This is really for artist who are setting the songs for Stream Only or currently have the song For Sale. As an Artist, you will be able to tell us whether you want our DJ's to be able to Download it and play it on Mix Radio. ONLY THE Mixposure DJ'S will have access to the download link. Everyone else will see the normal play and buy buttons.
Really this is no different than how the radio stations work today. Artist want airplay to promote their songs and get it heard by as many people as they can. Our goal was to give artists the option of how they wanted us to promote their music.

While I am unhappy that we are losing over 100k posts, I just got tired of dealing with PHPBB and VBulletin Board. We had users having error messages all of the time and that was just a pain. So let's get this forum rolling and get our post count back up!

Richard to avoid confusion I just changed your landing page to be the audio tab. So now when you go to http://www.mixposure.com/richard-krankoski it will automatically go to http://www.mixposure.com/richard-krankoski/Audio. If you click your name above the tabs, it will go to the timeline.

Rich - add a song image to the tune and it will appear.
You have an audio page for all songs. The home page can be set to any tab you want though. So if you want the audio page to be the landing page you can set that in your profile.

Well, we are getting closer on the Facebook embed. Kind of weird thing going on now. The player is displayed on FB Wall but not on your personal page. Neither the developer or I have seen this so I am a bit stumped. Work in progress!

On the Blog Tab, click the plus button (+) to begin a new blog. In the text editor, you will see a paperclip icon. Click it. You will then get a window that will display all of the media on your page as shown in the screen shot. You can also click on the tab to upload a new image from here.

On The Audio Page, click the "swirly" arrow and then drag the songs in the order you want them. Scroll down and click save!!
