Bottle half empty Ashtray nearly full Sittin' here lonely Thinkin' 'bout you Rain is fallin' just outside Here in this lonely room I hide Heart that is broken Pieces here and there Lyin' around me Scattered everywhere I just leave them on the floor They don't matter anymore So I'll take another shot See how many smokes I've got Wonder if this rain will ever stop Tell myself I'm ok But I'm not Look out the window It's really comin' down Guess I won't go out Make it in to town I'll just stare at the door Like I did the day before And I'll pour my last shot Smoke the last cigarette I've got Wonder if this rain will ever stop Tell myself I'm ok But I'm not Tell myself I'm ok But I'm not

Joel Brogon is a Folk/Americana artist from South Texas, living near the US/Mexico Border at the Rio Grande River. His influences range from classic Singer/Songwriters, Folk music of the 70’s, and 90’s Country. Brogon’s focus as a songwriter is telling stories based on his own life experiences and of those around him, and often uses music to reflect on nature, LGBTQ+ issues, and the environment. He loves connecting with audiences in small, intimate venues like coffeehouses, farmers markets, listening rooms, home concerts and sometimes just the front porch. A local activist and community spiritual leader, Joel lives with his husband Christopher and their four fur-children.
